The poor bugger been through hell this year I hope the other blokes get back out the help he deserves. I think its been a huge ask of him this year to play on the likes of Tredrea and Gherig. His best function is playing on medium sized forwards. Putting on him these bigger blokes is a huge ask. Him on revolva this week is good lets hope he has the pace to rip out a few chunks out of side show bob!

He is hampered by a sm,all knee injury which he suffered on Friday night. Great effort this season Jimmy. (Remember his eye injury?).

Clement's a magnifficent footballer but Tredrea destroyed him on Friday night.

Clement looked like he could barely run, a fully fit Clement would match it with Tredrea

Clement is too small for Treadra. Why wasn't Cloke/Walker played on him?

In all fairness, if the ball wasn't coming down at a million miles an hour and the defenders around him plugged the obvious holes in the defensive 50, Clements game wouldn't have looked as bad as you guys are making it.

Back at Lexus after the game Bucks was asked if Jimmy was injured (other than his face) and he replied that yes, he had rolled an ankle in the 1st? quarter and had trouble running with it.

I reckon Jimmy would match it with Tredrea, if he was fit, aswell. He is a champ, and should be a captain at the Pies IMO.

I second that Joel.

If he were to hand over the reins to someone, I'm sure Bucks would agree with our choice, he gave him a pretty big rap in his article for the Hun a few weeks ago.

Yeah, channel 9 picked up on his ankle. He did a good job considering the circumstances.

Early on in the first quarter it was clearly obvious that Clement was not the right man for Tredrea (on the night). He didn't react fast enough, didn't run, and couldn't match the star forward. Why was this not addressed, particularly if it was known to Bucks (and I would imagine Malthouse) that he had sustained an injury in the first! I agree that Walker, Cloke or any-bloody-one would have been a better choice, so frustrating to watch.

Malthouse also revealed that Buckley has carried an injury for the last 4 weeks, and should not have played against Carlton.

He made it sound as though it was a fairly serious type injury and that most other players would not have taken the field last night.

Just goes to show that we really don't understand what these guys go through, week in week out.

I thought he did a good job on Fevola. It was only late in the piece that he broke free. That 50 meters penallty was the tension boiling over after a long hard season. Well done on a top effort Jimmy.
