Nick's BB new features?

Couldn't help but notice the addition of "contact managment" and the new m8's list functions, well done guys, the new features should come in handy.

Nick's users are are pretty bright bunch (as well as good looking) so we knew we wouldn't be able to hide these new functions from you for long.

You will see three icons on each post that add and remove entries:

* the mates list
* disallow contact
* ignore list

There is also a 'contact' control panel that is accessed from the menu at the top of each page.

The ignore function has been upgraded so that it removes all traces of the person you want to ignore and prevents them from using the BB to contact you - by PM or email.

The 'disallow contact' function prevents someone from seeing you or contacting you on the BB, but doesn't hide their posts from you.

You wil be suprised to know that Mods can't be ignored or disallowed.

Please also see the the FAQ (accessible from the control panel) - it explains everything fairly well.

I think the mates list is just a folder to store links to ppl you regularly PM.
Saves having to hunt down their post to hit the link.

Been trying to find the simple explanation for what the new buttons do, and how they work. Have clicked on FAQ at the top of this page, and there doesn't seem to be anything relating to the new additions.

Surely, any new additions should be highlighted and given top billing until everyone is up to speed.

BTW, I have worked out what the buttons do, but have no need for the 'mates' button as everyone not on my ignore and disallow lists are mates.
