Well before you shoot the messenger just hear me out! I have a very good source that has told me this has been raised in the inner sanctum at the AFL as one of many options being looked at. We merge with Melbourne. Well think about it. Melbourne are finished. We share the same home ground. Melbourne have a social club and we need one. We gave them a coach! Both clubs are becoming increasingly desperate to achieve a flag. Synergies are perfect. Both have a great proud history. Both have passionate fans. So funnier things have happened in football. Who would have ever thought of the Lions becoming the Bears. If we were to merge, then who would be a perfect fit? That's the question now!

I wouldn't mind open access to the MCC Members.
I quite like the idea of hanging out in the Long Room and having all our old Vic Park photos & memorabilia put up in there.
I just don't want to share with those Melbourne tossers. Perhaps they could be encouraged to go quietly; just take down all your stuff, hand in your memberships, turn off the lights and hand over all the keys.
Then we move in.
