for those of you wondering about deleted posts in this thread, I assume they were deleted because they were way off topic. i.e. rupert, however great his powers may be, has zero to do with Lexus Centre/Social Club members problems etc. If you have a prob with this, email bbmods@magpies.net Further posts regarding this will simply be deleted. We have a complaints procedure, use it. |

Is the CFC Social Club at the MCG going to be at the City end or the Punt Road end ? Also on what position? ie Behind the Goals, before the 50 meter line or after it. Just want to know what the view of the goals is going to be like. Nothing worse than not being able to see an opening. ie just seeing a row of sticks. |

My understanding is that it will be in the "old Ponsford stand", city end behind the goals.......if I am wrong please inform us thanks. |

Not surprised at all Tess. Could you imagine the screaming that would emanate from the MCC members if any facilities outshone theirs? |

Ed thanks for posting back i don't think many presidents in other sporting associations would respond to a fans forum board.
My question is can the club have a interstate membership as the memberships that are available i think are a waste of money(if you don't see any live games), i would rather spend the money at the club shop and by club apparell to show the people of adelaide that i barrack for collingwood. I know with the interstate games it is'nt our home game and ticketing is a problem but it would be good if something can be proposed.

I second that stoka. Thanks Ed for posting. All those letters that we interstaters write must get read! Will be interested to see what changes occur for the interstate supporters now. An interstate membership would be a great idea. _________________ WESTERN MAGPIES - The Official Supporters Club of Western Australia.

"I'm aware of the drama. I will fix it."
That's good enough for me. My mouth is now shut on the issue as there has been some communication. Can't wait to see what reforms are put in place.
Thanks again Ed. _________________ My oxygen is Collingwood. Without it I die.

Actually, wasn't Ed supposed to visit the SC last Friday night?
Any SC members care to give us a run down on the royal tour?
If it occurred at all of course. |

That's why we are where we are any half of the other Victorian clubs have civil war and mounting debts. Because we have a President who cares about his people.
As far as the interstate membership goes, I get the country/interstate season ticket every year (5 home games) and a social club membership for about $180 or so (Social club number 07935). I'd still get it if there was nothing offered at all because it makes me feel a bigger part of the club I love. The only suggestions I would have for the social club intersate members would be:
(1) make some of the members deals relevant to interstate cities (eg) get a Birch Carol and Coyle movies deal for Brisbane based social club members, that kind of stuff;
(2) make the one interstate game a home game for interstate members ie Brisbane easter game v Pies.
If that is possible, great. If not, I'll still be paying next year, cos I don't ever want to see the Pies rattling tins like a common Tigers supporter. To be honest, I'd still rather see the club spend more on winning a premiership than getting better social club members deals, but if Eddie is good enough to take some time out of his ridiculously long week to ask for suggestions from us then I'll chuck some in. _________________ Buon Giorno |

Eddie is visiting the Social Club THIS coming Friday night. Last Friday's game was our away game, therefore we have no Social Club facilities available to us, only for Home games, although this will change with the NEW stand _________________ Jacqui © Proud Pies 2003 and beyond |

Another question Ed when you watch the aftermatch interveiws in the rooms there are people in the background who are they are they supporters ,relatives, sponsors and how can you get into the rooms. I have lined up at footy park and some people get in but a few have been past players like tony francis and steve paterson get in which is understandable i have tried to tee something up with cameron mckimm but that fell through how do you get a room pass?
Maybe it could be worked in for an interstate membership?
Also does the club need any match day volenteers interstate i would love to help out. |

Inner Sanctum member can get into the rooms. Memebership of Inner Sanctum is $1,200 (on top of social club membership) |
