I find it hard to believe that anyone was swayed from voting Labor to voting Liberal just because children were or werent thrown into the water. If you think it did then I suppose that tells us a lot about people who want to vote Labor.

Is the glass half full or half empty? That quote can read both ways. Wouldn't it tell us just as much about people who DID vote liberal at the last election. I assume you were referring to swinging voters?

The thing I find amusing here is that it's always the other side who lies. Johnny Howard has never lied...pfft. Name a politician who hasn't. I'm a swinging voter who makes up my mind on where the country is at, at the time of the election and the direction each party wants to take it.

Johnny may have done some good things, but he's made some shocking errors too. To deny that is to fly blind. I'm not saying anyone would have done better, just suggesting that to be ignorant about our PM is ....well, being ignorant

I don't think you have to worry about "Honest Johnny" taking a polygraph test or canvassing posters here as to whether the little weasel is a liar or not....this is out of todays Hun:

Quote:
PRIME Minister John Howard conceded yesterday a fresh inquiry into the children overboard saga would find he had lied.

Read all about it.

Yes Joel , and he made that "never ever" call when, amazingly, he was also going to an election.

And who can forget "Core Promise".
Remember? Honest John made lots and lots of promises, then when elected decided that some promises were not worthy. Only "Core promises" had a chance of being implemented. Pity he forgot to tell the voters of this system before the election.
Liar, simple fact.

He went to the election and told everyone that there would be a GST, he was voted in. Blame the Australian public if you don't like it.

I fail to see how he lied with that. He said he would do something, and he did it. He changed his mind from what he had said 10 or so years earlier. Things do change over time ya know. Having said that, he was wrong to say there would never be a GST, but at that time, it probably seemed there never would be a GST...and yes, he probably said that for votes.

Hang on, I'll post it.
I find it interesting that you guys are happy to dismiss Jill Singer, but want to hang your hat on Moores opponents. The quotation in this article from a 4 corners ep is what really should be taken seriously. Not even Singers reporting, but you dismiss the article without seeing it?
Closed minds?
Give me 5 and I'll have it up.

That's a very poorly written article, but then again, she's employed to wind up the right, like Bolt is to wind up the left.

Max suich's article in the age was interesting from a media perspective
