Yeah, but Johnstone would come at a big cost.

Listening to triple M today and they said that St.Kilda were very pi$$ed off with Collingwood as Mick and Eddie met face to face with Brendan Goddard and his manager in the week leading up to the saints playing the lions (round 21). They also said that Luke Ball had been spoken to...which is what i mentioned in a preivous thread about a month ago. Ed and Mick took Ball, father and manager through the new facilites and then spoke about next year.
But....
Its one thing to get any of these guys to agree to play for you, its a totally different thing to orchestrate the move over.

Thats the whole point. They seemed to sit and wait last summer to wait for Brown and Stevens to fall into their lap. Doesn't the Lexus Centre work wonders?

I would suggest Goddard will be a blue.

i say we try and get wirrapunda if he wants come back home. i watched the weagles game on sat and this guy was solid. he is creative and sets up play to the midfielders. and he can actually kick which we definately lack at the moment. i expect a few people will disagree with this but i rekon he'd do our back line wonders

I would like to se Goddard in the black'n'White. Silky skills and very versatile. Yea and I must agree with Travis johston...But not holding my breath for either.

Goddard is a star. He will blitz one day/season. The Blues would ahve to give up a star and and early pick. What do we have? Pick 7 and what player.

They just announced on SEN that Goddard has re-signed with the Saints for 2 years.

Bugger. Lets go for Dal Santo or Maguire then.

Not sure if any of these are under contract, but if not....
Notting
Wirrupunda
Johncock
C.Morrison
If Dal Santo is out of contract we could offer up Richards, since they have only knobel.

Sorry Foreigner Bradshaw is soft. He has the skill but lacks compassion and toughness. Something that we have lacked this season. Please don't add to the woes.

Need a mature midfield. Forget rookies or young guys for this year. Use our no 7 to lure Notting from the bears if he is still uncontracted (and wishes to come) Maybe with the promise of a prominent midfield role - pinch-hitter only with bears- we could persuade him to sign up. Why wait for a midfielder when a good one is already available? They chased Goddard and Ball why not Notting??
