Similar to Joel Smith, apparently he won't sign a new contract with the Tigers until he finds out who will be coaching them next year.
Hypothetically, does anyone reckon he would be an alright pickup if he decides to leave, and if we were a chance to get him?
Personally, I think has underperformed in the last couple of seasons. But, would he be useful to the Pies? |

i wouldnt go for ottens,we have 3 good ruckman as it is,with fraser,mckee and richards,why would you go after ottens??

Ottens has under achieved hugely at AFL level.
If you could get him for nothing he adds to our depth.
If they want to take Kinnear for him I would say yes..lol |

I'm not sure i agree with you here, we have an abundance of midfeilders - Burns, Bucks, Woey, Lica, Brodes, Goughy, Didak, Johnson, Davis, Swan, Obree (even though he is crap), Shaw, Tarkyn, Lokan, Mullins, King, Shak, Rowe, Bo.
Now i know not all of these i top line midfielders but most of these guys are. We really need some more key posstion players, and i no that Tex is being moulded into that but that is what i believe that we need

Still reckon he's got a dodgy back... Don't think we'll see him perform like he did in 2001 again.

Magpie Meg - I doubt that the likes of MCG , Didak, Davis, Swan, O'Bree, Shaw, Lokan, Mullins, King, Shaks, Rowe & Bo would get a run in Brisbane's midfield, most of them don't play in ours?
I'd like to see us recruit/trade 2 midfielders that can step 'straight' into the team & take some pressure off the likes of Burns, Bucks, Lica, Brodes & Woey. I think the club are also aware of this as we have recently tried to recruit N. Stevens, K. Johnson, H. Black, Morrison etc...
The obvious choice is Judd, but we all know that's not easy. Other alternatives may be T.Johnstone, Goddard, L. Power, Wirrpunda, Moloney etc...with 2 additions & hopefully some improvement from 1 or 2 of the players you mentioned then we may be going places.
In terms of key position players, Rocca, Presti & Tazz have a few years left in them. Wakes is our biggest concern, but I think 'any' Cloke could fill that role.  |
