Hey folks,

I'll just fill you in on my little Saturday night experience. I was up at a pretty large pub on the northern beaches of Sydney with a couple of mates to watch the Super 12 Rugby Semi-Final and a bit of the rugby league as I was unaware that Optus Vision were televising our match.

So, beer in hand, I was watching a massive screen with union on it, and to the top right was the rugby league...then, to my indescribable joy, there they were.

Reacting like a three year old at a Wiggles concert, I was hypnotised, I saw vertical black and white stripes, yep, they had the real footy on a small screen in the corner.

We had just kicked a goal-it was 4.2 to 2.0. I was excited-regradless of the current score.

Over the next hour I was watching with glee as my mates purved on the skirts walking by and I quickly responded to the girlfriend's text messages from home on my mobile (yes dear I'm not drunk...yet). My mates were jibbering on about all and sundry, and sure enough, 8 times actually, I spoke out of turn and yelled 'you beauty! in that second quarter.

Then three quarter time had come, 'screw this' I thought, and with that I picked up my chair, then threw the chair away and stood smack bang in front of the elevated TV in a pub in Sydney and wtached the 'pies stop my heart on several occasions and then send it soaring.

But then there was confusion around me, my mates half giggled, the bar staff thought I was off my tree, I began blubbering, the 'pies were standing semi-circle, President and all, in front of you mighty supporters down there in SA and rewarded them with that song of the gods.

Tears welt up, my fists were raised in the air.

I told my mates that this is why AFL and Collingwood are unique.
What an unforgettable scene and moment. All you supporters there-you deserved every second of that, and guess what...

my mates understood my point.

Go Pies, and hat off to you Eddie, that's why you are there.

I love you Collingwood.

In my blood...and off my head.

Ain't technology grand.

That's a wonderful story about a wonderful night. You've told it so well I'm in tears again.

It really happened, didn't it?

I wasn't just dreaming.

It must have been pretty amazing for those supporters who made the trek to SA. I went to the Social Club at Vic Park and watched the game on the big screen with all the other fanatics, which was a thrill. The place went bezerk when Fraser sealed the win.

Who won the Rugby League?

Hmm...let me think.., it was (another) draw.

Says it all doesn't it.

Rip these saints apart.
