I love this game, great fun every week, especially throwing abuse at your mates on the league board.

I'm not doing anywhere near as well as the past couple of years, I finished in the top 500 last year. Depth is pretty good though and I should go well in the 2nd half.

this was my first time playing it, so i wasnt quite sure how it worked. Looking back, i was quite biased to pick 10 pies players hehehe. I had to trade bux because he missed so many games, i might trade to get him back later on Very Happy

Can you explain the Feds please? Is it a messageboard thing (which board?) or what?

Hi 1990BW.

The Fed's have nothing to do with a message board. The Federation consists of 4 people each with 4 teams. We get together pre-season to select our teams and meet during the week to work on team selection. Obviously we have played the game before without much luck (1 team in top 10 two years ago, none last year) but we seem to be having a lot of luck this year.

We have had a ton of complaints from people suggesting we are all the same person but it's all above board. Even though we have 10 sides in the top 50 at this stage given the nature of the game it is possible we will end up with none. Possible but unlikely.

There's a dood over at TheBlueView called HattrickStriker who is in the top 10. Do you know anybody else in the top 50?

It's a fun comp and I love seeing how I have been doing each week. The random leagues are terrific.

My "Buninyong B's" have collected 18,184 points and I'm running in 8,344th place, however, I'm leading my (random) league.

I played last year but was a bit more selective this year when picking the side, although missed the St Kilda surge by not having a single Sainter in it!

My aim at the moment is just to get within the top 5,000 (top 10%). However, I've come in from 14,729th place after round five, so am quite pleased. My trades have worked out well. Recruited Adam Simpson and Matthew Pavlich by selling Buckley and Ben Graham. I tried to juggle the salary cap to pick up one more gun forward but couldn't get the deals to work out. These picks have strengthened my top side but I am still suffering from a spate of injuries!

'Pies in my side are: Lonie, Johnson, Lokan and Walker in the backline, Didak, Taz, Rocca and Cam Cloke in the forwards. I picked Shacks and Zane Leonard in the midfield, also Bo Nixon and Tom Davidson in the forwards, because they came dirt cheap and I needed the dough to offset some higher priced picks! If any of them were to play and do well, I hoped to pick up some points or possibly some value increases to use in trading.

Dids20, in line with the other comp, can you please post this sort of stuff in the Vic Park Tavern in the future, in the interest of consistency.

Joel,

This is about football, it's being posted to by Collingwood fans interested in how people are going and people are referring to the Collingwood players in their team. It belongs here.

If the Nick's BB footy tipping can go here, so can this thread.

It certainly doesn't belong in the Vic Park Tavern. Quote: "Current affairs and anything that's not about sport....."

Cannibal, in the interests on consistency, this is where it will go. There was a decision made earlier this year to place all Dream Team comp stuff in the Vic Park Tavern. As you will notice, there is a sticky in here for a comp that is running on Nick's. So, why should that comp go in here, and all other dream team stuff shouldn't?

Otherwise it can go to the Bored Board, but not everyone has access to that, nor does everyone want access to that.
