Firstly I must introduce myself. I am Tim and I love the mighty magpies!
This afternoon I was just pondering the furture in particluar 2003 & 2004 and this is what I have conjured up in my thoughts
The year: 2003 and/or 2004
The theme: "the premiership to start our continued dominance of continued success in the new millenium 21st century"
The date(approx): Saturday 28th September
The time: 2:15pm
The weather: fine and warm with light northery brezze
The temperature: 27 degrees
The venue: the mighty m.c.g
The crowd: 101,990 ( the largest since the 1990 grand final)
The ground condition: firm in the center lush on the wing
The smell: spring bloosom in the air combined with the scent of beer and champers (a sort of party carnival atmosphere)
THE TEAMS: COLLINGWOOD and HAWTHORN
The grand final margin :38 points
The premiers: COL(SORRY FOLKS THIS IS WHERE THE SUSPENCE TURNS TO PURE EXCITEMENT AND ADRENLIN RUSHES TO MY HEAD)
But firstly I need a reality check. I would love any type of resonce to my first post. I want to know if this is going to be a dream that actually comes true not just a pipe dream. And I would love to know if the magpies in season 2001 are on the right track for this to occur.
GOOD OLD COLLINGWOOD (UNITED) FOREVER AND EVER
AMEN AND GOD BLESS THEM ALL

Sounds quite plausible ... except for one thing ... the crowd.

No way will they get over 100,000. In fact there'll probably only be about 70,000 because they'll be rebuilding the ground for the Commonwealth Games. And they will probably be nearly all corporates. We'll probably all be at Olympic Park watching it on a big screen. But it'll still be fun anyway. We'll just chant and sing and carry on as if we were at the match.
