I was wondering, if you could create a username for my friend? He only has a Hotmail.com e-mail address and it says that, the board doesn't allow Hotmail or Yahoo e-mails. He pmed me on msn saying that he wanted to join, because his brother (Kaine) had already joined and he wished to aswell.

His e-mail is scotty_riggs@hotmail.com

He wants the same name as his e-mail, but with spaces, and with caps at the start of both names.

We don't allow free email addresses for a very good reason. It restricts the amount of times a troll can re-register, and it helps prevents spammers from being able to register 100 hotmail addresses, and then post 100s of messages.

The system doesn't allow us to register those types of email addresses. Would it be possible for your friend to find an email address somewhere else, because I don't think there is any other way.

I will talk it over with the other mods and see what they say.

There is already a user called Scotty Riggs. Joined up on 12th May, claims to be from Nth Hobart.

Im lucky that I registered when anyone could join up with a hotmail address. It may stop a few trolls but it excludes many genuine supporters who would make a worthy contribution to the site.

What is an example of an appropriate email address?
