River Raid! This thread is bringing back so many memories of my childhood

If you love the FIFA soccer games then you really should try Pro Evolution Soccer. I'm not really into soccer generally but I don't mind the computer games. I played Pro Evolution 2 on the PS2 for a while and I think it's the best soccer game ever made, way better than FIFA. Theres a PES 3 out now too but I haven't seen it.

old skewl games....
rescue raiders used to cop a hammering on the apple. super mario bros on the snes used to get plenty of time too, can't say I miss the Nintendo game pads tho, bloody things are hard on the hands.

Best old game for playability would have to be Sensible World Of Soccer, me and My brother played the crap out of SWOS, unfortunately its not as good under emulation, I love old Amiga games and still have a heap of them, worms, canon fodder, settlers, Dune2, Railway tycoon the list is endless.

Foxy, warlords 2 is a brilliant game, spent many, many hours playing it, Doom rocks, have you seen doom legacy? lets you run Doom under openGL, it looks very nice in "real" 3D, I had a plugin for Quake or Quake 2 that lets you use all the old doom and doom 2 maps in Quake, Smile

I am trapped in the 70s and 80s, so here they are:

1. Galaxian/ Galaga
2. Pac Man
3. Space Invaders
4. Frogger
5. Defender
6. Shark Hunt

If I had a shit load of money I would get one of those coffee table game set ups with the plastic stools and get all of these games programed into it. Then I would set it up in my lounge room and charge 20 cents a match just like in the olden days (except allow alcohol consumption during the games).
