Brian Lara will miss the first 3 limited over internationals against England on medical advice due to a fractured little on his right hand. This injury was sustained during the first Test at Kingston, Jamaica and was obviously aggravated during his world record innings.

Ramanesh Sarwan will take over the captaincy in Lara's absence.
