He's got to wonder whether it was worth it. The potential of twenty years of earning as a top jockey appear to be blown.

I am expecting him to be dealt with harshly. The whole racing industry will collapse if the punters lose confidence. To restore confidence things like this have to be seen to be dealt with harshly. Look how hard it was for Gai Waterhouse's husband, Robbie, just to get back on a race course.

I wonder who I bet on that race. I presume I had a bet, but it was the last race of the carnival.

The race, in question, was won by Brief Embrace who has gone on to win since.

I think he may have a bit of a Jim Cassidy stigma about him for a while anyway until he wins some big races. His rides will be scrutinised harder then most and it will be interesting to see what mounts trainers are willing to give him. More importantly will the owners of the horses want him to ride on their horses?
