Yes brave effort and good to see the media is finally off his case. Don't know what he did to alienate them his on-court demeanour has always been impeccable. Good luck on Sunday Mark. _________________ If only we could turn back time! |

Great effort by Scud but he will have to take his game to another level to beat Federer.
I watched the Scud match and the first set and a half of the Federer match and the Federer match was up another level. I never realised how good Federer is.
Good luck Scud

It's just a shame that the media only likes you when you're winning. I'm sure if he lost against Popp, the headline would have been; "DUD SCUD GOES OFF WITH A POPP!"
Just look at Lleyton. World #1 for 22 months, he loses one match and is crucified.
Anyway, good on you Mark. I hope you win the Final, but I won't hate you if you dont! _________________ "There's an old saying in Tennessee, I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee, that says, fool me once, shame on... shame on you. Fool me... you can't get fooled again." - Oscar Wilde |

This could be the greatest sporting story of our time if the scud wins wimbledon i reckon its fantastic and its a 'feel good' thing.
There is no doubt that mark could easily be our best ever tennis player he certainly does things his way not that there is anything wrong with that and by winning a wimbledon final will be a stepping stone to further greatness he's just got to believe in himself.
I hope he wins in record sets
go mark u bloody beauty. _________________ Collingwood today, Collingwood tomorrow,Collingwood forever... we'll always do things the collingwood way... side by side we stick together to uphold the greatest name in football.

Hewitt hasnt just lost one match.........his form hasnt been that good for quite a while. There seems t be an obsession about the number one ranking. I would worry about winning matches and tournaments and the rankings will take care of themselves. No point being a Kournikova and ranked in the top 20 if u never win tournaments.

M8, I always perferred the Scud over hewitt, and though last nights match was more significant, i had so much more emotion in the popp game. He is a bloody legend and I friggin h8 it that the media are now going to jump on his bandwagon after being such pricks....I h8 the media.........

It's great to see him doing well for himself. Personally I have not seen him play much better. He used to get aggro at himself when he missed a point on court, but he seems to have let go of that.
Seems to be much more controlled mentally and doesn't always go for the big SWAT in general play.
PS - Notice how Eddie likes to remind us which suburb he comes from? |

Good luck to the Scud but i think its not going to be the Scud who hasto change his game but it will be Federe because against Roddick, Federer was just blocking his serves bak as Roddick was not running into the net but Mark has been serve and volleying which will make it harder to Federer to block bak Marks serves as he will finish off the volley and personally i think Mark has an excellent chance to beat Federer tonite |
