What happens if I forget to enter my tips?
Tippers that fail to enter tips for the entire round will be allocated the away tips (with a maximum of 5). If you tip for some matches and not others, you will not be given a score for these matches.
I found this in the help section of the site!

First of all I would like to make a correction. I said the time to get the tips in by should be 9pm thursday, after reading the rules I have found that you can tip any time right upto before the commencement of a game.
---------------------------------------------------------------
footytips.com.au Rules
The rules of footytips.com.au are as follows:
1) Tips must be received by the game commencement time nominated as published on the site. All times will be published as AEST.
2) Under no circumstances will tips be accepted after a game has commenced
3) Tippers will be allocated one point for the correct selection of a win, loss or draw for each round
4) Tipper will be ranked by their score, where the highest score is ranked highest
5) Where tippers have identical scores, tippers who have selected the winning team for the margin match will be ranked higher than tippers who have selected the losing team
6) Those tippers with identical scores will then they will be sorted by the difference of the margin selected for the first game, to the actual margin, where the lowest margin difference is ranked highest.
7) The margin difference is refreshed every week.
Weekly winners will be determined via the process as outlined above using the margin
8) The identical process for weekly and cumulative winners (using a margin) will be used within each tipping competition created on this site
9) Tippers can only pick a maximum of two draws per round
10) Tippers that miss a round will be allocated the away team/s (with a maximum default score of 5)
11) If tippers join after the season has commenced, they will be allocated the away teams for each round missed (with a maximum default weekly score of 5)
12) Tippers are allowed to alter tips at any time prior to the game commencement time
13) The administrators of this competition can not accept tips via any other method apart from the website, this includes accepting tips via email

London Dave,
You're mad.
I've decided to stick religiously to the policy of tipping AGAINST Collingwood every week. So, that way, if we lose I've tipped a winner, and if we win ... who cares about the tipping comp anyway?

I've just joined up for the comp and entered my tips. But I noticed a note from Joel saying that, hopefully, everyone would tip Collingwood. Does this mean it is COMPULSORY to tip Collingwood?
As it stands at present, I've tipped Hawthorn. But if this goes against the spirit of the comp I am willing to change my tip ... but ONLY if it is compulsory to tip Collingwood every week. In which case, EVERYONE in the NickBB competition has to tip Collingwood EVERY WEEK.
Could I please have a ruling on this before the deadline, Joel?

You have mentioned the Andrews logic before Alf, and makes perfect sense to me. As I have entered the whole seasons tips (mainly because I will never remember to do it each week, for various reasons like time zone diff, I'll be too drunk or trying to get a sunburnt bum on a yacht in the Ionian Sea during summer, and more importantly, I am crap at tipping!)
I don't have a problem with whatever selection you make.

JOEL - please read Alf's post and repond immediately. I have similar habits, but have tipped us on the basis of your rule.

Tip how you want. Really it is upto you, but as Magpie faithful I thought that we should pick Collingwood.
Alf, you can pick any way you like. Same for you Broadie.

Thanks, Joel - and I'm sticking with the Faith this weekend.
Don't know if I can make it to the cricketers though.
