There's certainly no 'resting on one's laurels' in cricket !!

In the last Pura Cup game in Hobart, Simon Katich and Steve Waugh contributed 334 runs in The Blues' first innings but could only manage 6 in the second.

Today, Paul Rofe just dismissed Katich (5) and Waugh (golden duck) in successive deliveries.

Rofe has 3/20 from 7 overs and N.S.W. is 3/39 from 16 overs.

Jason Gillespie looks to be moving OK in his comeback game. He just dismissed Mark Waugh for 34 and has 1/34 from 15 overs.

After 46 overs, N.S.W are 5/166 with Mail on 56 n.o. and Brad Haddin, 34 n.o.

Mail was bowled by Greg Blewett for 94. Don Nash made a good 46 before falling to part timer, Mark Cosgrove.

Rofe took 4/62 and Gillespie bowled 19 overs and took 2/46.

They are 0/69 after 29 overs. Fitzgerald is 32 n.o. and Deitz, 29 n.o.

Fitzgerald was caught behind from Clark for 33.

Deitz has moved on to 50 n.o. and Blewett is 23 n.o. and the score is 1/115.

Matthew Nicholson (2/25) dismissed Deitz for 66 and Blewett for 25 - both l.b.w.

Of the quicks not already in the national team, Paul Rofe and Matt Nicholson have started the season on the right foot.

They continue to do well in this game.

Nicholson has just taken his third wicket and has 3/41 from 10 overs.

Andy Flower is 20 n.o. and S.A. are 4/171.

It's now 6/189 as Nicholson gets Flower (21) and MacGill takes his first.

S.A. are still 78 behind and the battle for first innings points probably has The Blues slightly ahead.
