Sorry if this has been raised already -

but if Jade Rawlings and Hawthorn kiss and make up does that mean the doggies may cast their gaze towards Nick Stevens and use their first pick on him thus f*cking up Carlton?

I can only hope so. Surely if they can afford Rawlings they could afford Stevens but do they want him?

Hawthorn won't be able to afford Rawlings now with Jacobs and Croad coming into the team. Rawlings will either play for Footscray or not at all, I would say.

News today says Rawlings to avoid the Bulldogs could go into the National Draft. But only if the Hawks delist him before Nov 14. Bulldogs would theh have to choose between an outstanding kid and him. If the Hawks re-sign him or put him in there then they are doing the doggies over bigtime - who gave them pick 6 for a nothing called veale. If he goes in the National draft then the dogs would get Stevens in the pre-season draft i'd imagine. i bet the filth are sh!tting themselves at this possible outcome. No Stevens and they are left with 7 leftovers as signers.

If Rawlings goes in the National Draft I guess it is possible for for the Doggies to get both Rawlings and Stevens (salary cap permitting). They would still get a high draft pick (#4) but would miss out on Cooney.

I can't say for sure what the Doggies would do but if their salary cap allows it taking Rawlings first in the National Draft would be the way to go.
