Morrel and teague are players we have enough of and have shown they aren't champion breed. If its between players like Carlton picked up(minus Stevens if he goes there) and draft picks we might as well take a lucky dip into the draft bag and see if we score something.

to develop a chanpion team, we need to make the most of the draft. just look at brisbane, they didn't have to trade big names to win three premierships. look at voss, black (pick 60 something i think), akermanis, brown... as much as i hate them i hope cfc follows their example and draft potential players instead of trading young guns for has-being duds.

who knows maybe pick 35 could be the next bucks or tarrant. as we saw with black, you don't need high draft picks to draft a champion.

Don't forget the filth have lost Ratten, Allan, Beaumont, Manton, McKernan, Martyn, Murphy & Hickmott (and possibly McKay) and replaced them with Scotland, Hartford, Teague, Morrell, Clarke, McGrath and Johnson. A collective 90 odd reserves games in 2003 between them. Hardly inspiring when you get over the thrill of spring cleaning and get down to the hard facts of production.
