So what Carlton have in effect done is traded Mark Porter for these two players, it just took a couple of years to complete the deal. WTF?

Can't believe North traded both those guys for McKernan.
What a bunch of ass clowns. That is the worst trade I have ever seen.
Teague and Morrell are quality young players. Jesus I wish we got one of them. |

morrell & teague ain't the kind of players that are gonna take carlton off the bottom. both played much of the season in the seconds for a side that didn't make the finals.
mckernan is precisely what the roos would've been after - a tall & strong presence in the forward line.
probably a win-win trade, but we're talking about 3 pretty average players here. mckernan will have a more immediate effect. |

About time someone talked sense, teague hasnt looked like breaking in this year and at one stage was almost dropped from the port side _________________ Genesis 1:1 |

Add to them; Scotland, Cory McGrath, Danial Harford, Brett Johnson, David Clarke, and perhaps a big name player via the preseason draft and they will be hauled off the bottom.
I think all clubs don't fear Carlton because of the last two years. They are willing to do lopsided trades in Carlton's favour |

oh pulllease. scotland will be good for them but he's never been the focal point of a midfield. unsure how he'll cope with the extra responsibility.
harford, johnson & clarke are confirmed duds. for mine, clarke is one of the worst players in the league.
mcgrath will be handy at best. a poor man's cupido. |

I agree that there must be something going on...all the Carlton trades have been in their favour (Scotland is worth way more than pick 35, especially when North were offering pick 24). There must be some shady deals going on behind the scenes... |

That's Bull crap Teague was nearly dropped from Port's side. He was probably in their best three every time they played.
He is a top young player. Old fashioned and hard it something Carlton lacks. _________________ I should have never been sacked as the president of the Collingwood Football Club. |

I think you are forgetting the Blues midfield already has Campo, Kouta, Hulme. Surround them with guys like Scotland, Harford (admittedly needs a good pre-season), and Cory McGrath (who I rate highly) and more than likely Nick Steven's then you've got a decent midfield.
The reason why Scotland hasn't already developed into the "Nick Steven's type player" is that he lacked an opportunity for extra responsibility. Further opportunities and this guy will blossom.
