Choko has always said this trade is about getting as much as he can for the PA footy club. If this statement has any substance he has to take whatever we offer rather than lose Stevens for nothing. A draft pick and a player is worth more than nothing Choko - YOU IDIOT!
In 2 years we could see our loss of ND turn into a pick up of Stevens with the same "held to ransom" demands from the player. _________________ My oxygen is Collingwood. Without it I die.

If any trades are to be done between Port and Collingwood next year I`m sure Williams wont be involved. This guy was rumoured to be on the outer with their board and now he's making childish claims about letting their number 1 midfielder go for nothing in return? Wake up Williams you eternal twat. Collingwood will be no worse off if we don't get Stevens but your club will be a lot worse for wear if they let him go for nothing. Of of course Fabian Francis that aged three kneed star of Ports is due back from injury of course I forgot well Port will be a shoe-in for the flag. _________________ Chuffed to have seen 3 flag wins in my lifetime but still greedy for more. |

some facts:
Nick Stevens seems to love collingwood as much as us
MarK Williams is a dick
Western Bulldogs will get Nick in pre-season draft if Port don't wake up with a different attitude in the morning
Carlton and Port may end up with nuffin....a huge conselation prize if we miss out on Nick
This may end up as the biggest stuff up by a team losing one of their best players. I can't remember the last time a big name player swapped clubs without the original club totally missing out.
No wonder port's sponsor has no confidence in their coach as they stated _________________ God said..."let there be sheep" and the sheep said "baaaaaaaaaaaaaa" |

DONT TRADE MCGOUGH, I really can't emphasise that enough, give him time like Licuria. He'll be able to totally CONTROL games once he sorts his kicking out.
If we do trade him it will come back and bite us so hardcore |

So now it is public ... I always thought Stevens was saying Pies or nothing behind the scenes. The question was always whether Port would cave in. We did with Nick Davis just before the deadline. The worry was Port might justed be pissed off enough to let him go into the draft and spin it as "This great club will not be blackmailed". I see Choco is already saying this.
We will all know tomorrow afternoon! |

Bucket, how long do you propose we give McGough to come good and where/when do you see him getting the senior opportunities? Or do you advocate that we should hold positions on our restricted lists indefinitely?
Don't care much either way if he stays or goes but let's not get sentimental. He has big pluses and big negatives too. Fact, he's fallen down the pecking order for senior selection and competition is not going to get any easier.
Your point, I can respect but you are basing yr argument on could be's and might be's on a player who has been given opportunities and for better or worse has not made the most of them. Basically he may or may not make it and a club can only give him so long. If he's kept, he'll have to step up in 2004 or goodbye. _________________ he's an animal, what can u expect!!! |

You know, if MM hadn't tried a 17 year old boy last year instead of giving him a year or three to develop there would be no conversations about McGough on here except people would be saying how he is one of the promising guys that can step up this year from Willi.

common, I propose we give McGough 2 years. In two years time McGough will be the ripe old age of 21. Buckley will be 33, Burns 32, Woewodin 29 or 30, and Licuria high 20's. Plus, McGough will never ever lose his football brain and ball-winning abilities as their in his blood. 2 years would give him alot of time to acquire a very good fitness base and sort his kicking out. People talk about him as if he's this 25 year old we've been persisting with for years, he's 19! Give him two more years. |

we will get stevens for pratically nothing. port won't give him to the draft. Choko is only bluffing so that he could make us panic and offer them something really good. if we wait till near the deadline, they will cave in and we could get him for pick 17 easy |
