Stevens wants to leave, is leaving, and Williams demands not only a player of equal calibre, but a first round pick on top of that.

And if Carlton, against their 'new philosophy' of not trading picks away, especially regarding the current situation, trade pick 2 for Stevens and offer $500,000 a year, the Blues faithful will go right off. Stevens is not worth antwhere near that much, and at a team like Carlton, he will get so much attention because he has no support around him that I can see him being the next Camporeale all too quickly.

Williams has just upped the price for Stevens again. He now wants Didak, our first round draft pick, 3 virgins, Buckley's first child, and a couple of slabs.

Can I have Buckley's first child? Wink

Williams is going to really mess this deal up with his bitterness, Stevens could just ask to be added to the AFL draft, and then Port get nothing in return for Stevens. Keep being bitter, Mark, it will only hurt you and your team.
