Post subject: ALL AUSTRALIAN SELECTORS | |
|
Kevin Bartlett, Chris Mainwaring, Robert Walls, Gerard Healy, Neil Kerley, Rod Austin and Andrew D are the people entrusted with choosing the All Australian team.
By looking at those names its pretty easy to see why Collingwood players would get over looked.
Kevin Bartlett pretty much hates Collingwood if his Sports program on 927 is anything to go by. I cannot see Gerard Healy, Neil Kerley or Mainwaring nominating a Collingwood player. Neil Kerley will be too busy drumming up Crows and Power players. Mainwaring will be pumping up Freo and WCE players.
In a sydney paper i read that Healy mentioned that SIX sydney players have a strong strong case for selection. They were Hall, Williams, Goodes, Kirk and i cant remember the other two. If thats the case and you add at least six from Port Power and at least three from Brisbane then there isnt much room for players from other teams including Collingwood.
Is it possible that the Wooden Spooners in the Bulldogs will have the same number of representatives as Collingwood ??
If there is any justice then Tarrant, Burns and Buckley will all make All Australian.

They can shove it, we just want to win the flag. Who gives a toss about All Australian, Collingwood is far more important imho! It's just a bonus, like picking up a couple of hams, a box of pies and a few beers on World of Sport was years ago.
If we do win the big one, it will make that lot of withered old dorks look like the dip sticks they undoubtedly are. |

how Collingwood had no rep last year is beyond anyone.
"Prestigiacomo was very close" -Gerad Healy from last years 'awards nite'.
We'll there is definatly gonna be no Presti in the AA this year either. But he shoulda been in it last year!!
as far as this year goes... Buckley will be guaranteed a spot due to winning the brownlow... and MM the coach hehehe _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

Exactly- A team makes a GF and not one player makes the All Australian... I guess they really were 'no names' they just aren't to us bcoz we follow them week in week out, but seriously I don't think it's that important _________________ There is just one team we favour... |

Presti#1Fan, don't count on someone getting in the AA team coz they win a Brownlow, Shane Woewodin won a Browlow in 2000 and didn't make the AA team. Stupid isn't it? |
