Post subject: Brown and Murphy wont be dogs | |

They just said on the footy show tonight that Brown and Murphy haven't resigned and that they are leaving it to the end of the year.
That means that they don't want to stay because they had the chance during the week so Brown is ours!
P.S am I getting a bit to excited? _________________ FOR F**K SAKE MOVE THE BALL ON QUICKLY!!! |

Brown has also been linked to Essendon. Can't we just wait and see what happens? |

I'd prefer Murphy anyway - we don't need Brown, we have Didak, who will be much better and last longer. Brown is good on the lead, but he doesn't like that much, so he just likes to get the cheap easy goals. Holland, O'Bree, Didak and even Leon work harder than Brown in most games, just put them in the forward line instead.

I would have to say that I would prefer Murphy too!!! Because we if we were got Brown what wjould we have to give up for him!
Another reason why I would want Murphy because of our salary cap... Brown is asking way to much for what type of play he is.... _________________ Long Live the mite and power of

I forgot to mentiobn that Murphy is a really good player!
I really like his run and his composure. His kicking needs a bit of work, but maybe he can go to Shane O'Bree and Paul Liccuria's school of kicking with Johnno and Shaw (he's not as bad as either of those!)
I'd be VERY surprised if the dogs give Murphy up, and we may have to deal in the draft for him (probably not worth it) but he'd be an excellent pick up to "replace" clement when clement decides to retire - hopefully not for ages - but he does that running half back flanker so well!
Give him a couple of years and he'll be one of the best small backs going round IMO.

Fact is Brown is a quality player but the idea of bringing him in and paying him mega bucks makes me nervous as it has the potential to disrupt the unity of the tea. _________________ 'Collingwood are the Bradmans of Football'

Players today are professional, in fact any quality recruit would strengthen our core playing group. Look at Woewodins inclusion this year. Definitely been a bonus for us. _________________ Con Nose Evrythin, you see

Not bagging Leon but he has kicked 14 goals to Brown's 53 . Consider too that Brown is a 5'11" full forward in a team that are going to win the wooden spoon, hence not good delivery or as many opertunities. I think the only better/sort after uncontracted player this year was Judd. Imagine Brown on a wing or in a pocket without the best defender, pure class. As far as field kicking is concerned, Bucks is the only one in the league who I would rate higher, Brown has also been all Australian for the last 2 years. |

exactly, give me Murphy over Brown anyday.... who needs Brown? plus, having brown in the team will only help to get rid of leon and we dont want that do we so i say screw brown, we want murphy! _________________ Nelly the cow is a beautiful cow

Murphuy is a much better option. We have enough small forwards plus Murphy is a youngster and we could have hime for a longer period of time |

Anyone actually watched brown play recently? He's been mainly playing in the midfield. He only plays in the forwardline cause they don't have anyone else to structure a forward line around. But both are good players and either one would be in our best 22. |
