Correct. During the same period, there has been one other player apart from Wessels who represented 2 countries in the cricket World Cup.

Who was he and which countries???

Graeme Hick represented Zimbabwe as a teenager in 83 WC and after qualifying for England played in 92 and 96.

The oldest Olympic gold medallist was a Swedish shooter called Oscar Swahn, who was 64y.o when he won in 1912 (Stockholm). Think it was a team event, running deer??

The oldest Australian gold medallist was Bill Northam in 1964 (Tokyo). He was 59 y.o. He won in 5.5 m class yachting.
