Another Bullshit Rumour - Potential problem with Sponsors

It's hard to believe anything about Collingwood in the media, because you wouldn't know fact from fiction. It could be terue, but I doubt it, if any Collingwood player was done for Drunk Driving that player would find himself delisted. Or fined by the club, or even suspended by the club, did they name the players? Or was it just a "Collingwood players done for Drunk Driving"? rather then naming the players?

okay this going to be moved for evaluation by the mods.

Everyone knows that to make a buck or get interest the media has to come u p with something to do with Collingwood. Even if this bile is found out to be true, i just feel that repeating BS about the club we love here just does not feel right. We are here as supporters of this mighty club not to bring it down. I know that this was not your intention at all Assasin and I would never accuse you of that but these sort of rumours need to stop somewhere before they get too out of hand and hurt the ppl that are mentioned, in this case The Collingwood Football Club....
This Suppporters BB is not the place to carry them on.

I hope you and everyone can understand where I am coming from.

Same Rumour on 3AW Rumour file this morning, although the so called 5 players had done their licences for speeding.

I think Ed would have something to say about this as our sponsorship with the TAC is too valuable for us to lose it.

As yet the rumour has NOT picked up any credibility, so until you hear something official from the club treat it as it should be - ONLY a rumour!!

seems to be a lot of crap rumours coming from the radio stations lately, might be the only way they have of stopppng people changing the dial. Sounds like a total load of crap if you ask me, there are so many people out there waiting for a chance to give it to Eddie about anything, and something like this, if it was at all creditable information the TV/News pappers/ radio would be all over it. they're not.

It's obviously blatant lies! If ONE Collingwoood player was caught speeding or driving under the influence it would have made big news especially here in Melbourne. If 5 players had been done there would have been heaps more news & contraversy than David Neitz and his trip to the casino got.

Does anyone remember the hoo-hah surrounding a drink driving rookie/1st year Richmond player who got nabbed about 3 years ago. The HUN went on all out witch hunt on the player because of the relationship between TAC & Richmond? I dont think Collingwood would be any different.
