Post subject: Bulldogs Cheer Squad | |
|
They were a disgrace. Well the people involved anyway. They spat at Anthony, i couldn't believe it. They were giving him verbal abuse and throwing stuff at him. They through the footy at him (hit his head). They (bulldogs cheer squad) were also giving verbal abuse to the goal umpire for giving a Collingwood goal after the bulldogs supporters believed it hit the post. The goal umpire looked at Rocca and Rocca nodded his head to give the "all clear". It was payed a goal. It was definley a goal. The security guards had to kick some bulldogs cheer squad members out before it got really ugly. On a happier note, Rocca looked to the crowd at I put my thumb up and he did this little nod with his head It was a great night bar the cheer squad incident.
P.S. Collingwood cheer squad. Did you know what was going on down the other end?? |

bah, who cares about them. they're all just fat & frustrated idiots who can't accept the fact their club's gonna fold in 4 years.
by comparison, our cheer squad was superb last night. loudest pre-match chanting i've ever heard. great stuff. |

And just exactly how do you think the Collingwood Cheer Squad would have reacted if the situation was reversed ?
Just imagine that. The Collingwood Cheer Squad is CONVINCED that a Bulldog shot for goal has hit the post. The umpire asks a Bulldog player what he thinks. He gives the all-clear ... and it's a goal to the Bulldogs.
Would WE yell abuse ? ... HELL, NO !
Would WE spit ? ... NEVER ! NO WAY !
What would we do ?
Well ... we'd probably just shrug our shoulders and say, "Oh, Gosh ... I think the jolly goal umpire made a small error ... Oh, well. He's only human."

We abuse the goal umpires constantly - they are always wrong LOL.
But I am pretty sure that we wouldn't spit on an opposition player. (although if it was Akermanis we would be sorely tempted).
An example:
Last night Hargreaves was wrestling with Tazza and knocked him to the ground and ripped his jumper right in the goal square.
Boy, did we abuse him and the useless goal umpire BUT we didn't throw anything or spit at him and if anyone behaved like that in our Cheersquad they would be removed immediately and not welcome back.
One of the rules of our Cheersquad is NEVER to touch the players under any circumstances.
We had no idea what was going on down the other end. _________________ If you bleed black and white you'll never walk alone. |

i_luv_eminem, the reason we were having a go at that umpire is stated in my previous post - absolutely nothing to do with racism - why should his colour make him exempt? |

And players used to thump each other as part of the game.
Spitting is totally unacceptable and Collingwood are NOT NOT NOT known for spitting.
Collingwood are known to verbally give any opposition player.umpire.supporter a hard time, but VERBALLY is as far as it goes! _________________ Kaylene.

MMM had a someone ring in about this apparently, they asked Smorgan about it after the game and has said that he had heard nothing about it. MMM responded by saying that it musn't have happened then (Brayshaw said that think) and then Smorgan said, but 'I'm not saying it didn't happen'. And it was left at that. |

Just to confirm:
It did hit the post...
Spitting is foul and the bitch should've been thrown out (apparently was)
They should have thrown out the man in the bulldogs cardigan as I wanted to whack him |

I was right behind the goal post in section 23 row f seat 32.It definitely hit the post as I stated in my topic, only one negative in general discussion. All the collingwood supporters saw it hit the post in this area.Did you go,if you did and sat where we were you would have seen it.The goal umpire got it wrong this time. |
