SUGGESTIONS FOR THE COMMENTARY TEAM

Seeing as some things we talk about on Nicks are discussed in the media, I thought it might be a bit of fun to suggest some things Channels NINE, TEN, and FOX FOOTY could implement to improve their coverage.

My suggestion is:
Putting up the number of AFL games each player has played along with the kicks, marks ect. Would be nice to know if a player has only a few games and playing against someone with 100 games or whatever. [actually it is my baby son's suggestion.....the one who just turned 21 years of age.]

Any one else got some suggestions?

I'd prefer it if they have one special comments person per match rather than two, and try to have a more "soccer-like" approach to their commentary. Otherwise, good stuff.

one thing TEN can do is SHOW F@#KING REPLAYS. If the teams go goal for goal say 3 goals in 4 mins, they'll show one replay out of those goals. that's like an ad break every 45secs of play. I dunno if that's right, just added that up in my head quickly. Idiots.

and whats the point of having a "special comments person" when that persons comments are made when there is a add break, ch9 pay for 2 people to make comments while the rest of us are at a add break Smile

Channel 10 - can they please stop flashing all the stats up on the score boxes every 2 secs during the game. Very irritating. Half the time u have to wait 5 minutes just to see what the score is. Love the stats, please put up at the breaks.

Channel 9 - Someone please tell Dermot to get over himself. Nobody cares anymore. Let Dennis Commeti have more run, he's just so funny. I like the tid bits Eddie gives about players, ie how many games, verbal stats, how they've been going generally. I like that very much.

Natalie, I fully agree with you about the Stats on the score box, it is annoying, perhaps they could but the stats on the other side of the screen when they want to show them, so we can still see the score

i reckon they should get a commentator like martin tyler who is very good on when he commentates the soccer and also they should tell dermie not to always to talk about himself always

Prototype - your comment was exactly the purpose of my comment for channel 10. I'm an avid channel flicker and always have to wait for ages to see who's winning when I flick to 10. Especially as on a Sat night if we're not playing I tend to watch the fox game and not the 10 game so the waiting for scores on 10 drives me nuts.
