Shaw gesture lifts a legend
Collingwood’s Rhyce Shaw wears the number 22, the same as club legend Bob Rose.
Last month, when it was discovered Rose was battling cancer, Shaw had the initials BR embroidered on the
back of his jumper against St. Kilda as a tribute to the Magpie legend. It was a gesture so appreciated
by Rose that he wrote a letter of thanks to Shaw that now takes pride of place on the wall at home.
