Well if we finish out of the eight we will be the one club that has the money to pick him up, every team out of the eight is struggling financially. So West Coast will do a deal if he wants to leave WA as they may get nothing for him (ala Nick Davis). It all depends on him wanting to leave. Pavlich said he wanted to go home. He is still a docker.
Lockyer would be a supurb addition to their team. They also don't need a crumbing forward so that leaves out Davis. They need a tall forward so it maybe someone else on our list. Maybe Davidson.
I would like Judd but until he is actually wearing Black & White forget about it. Remember Gherig, he was a certainty for the Pies.
It's mid June, there is no draft to my knowledge. |

We have enough midfielders and running types.
What we need is a ruckman. Cameron Cloke and Guy Richards might be very good in a few years but we need a good ruckman now.
Does anyone think the weagles might swap benny for gardiner. |

I'd actually prefer wirripunda. Our backline has dash with bj but wirripunda is class. our midfield has all the cattle we need to be the best midfield and it will gel sooner or later.
didak IS going to be a star...as much as this YOUNG player frustrates me he will be great and i'd prefer him to Nick stevens. Josh is still learning the art of rucking for a full game but can anyone name the game lately that he was towelled up? He too will hold his own as a ruckman.
It's hard when a Judd comes along and stars in his 2nd season of footy. We want our young guys to do the same. Give them a little more time and they'll come through for us. _________________ My oxygen is Collingwood. Without it I die.

We are talking about Judd as if he is a buckley or a voss. As I said before I remember the year that OB was almost the best midfielder in the comp for 1 year. He was only about 20 or 21 at the time too. Woey had a stellar year that some want to remember when he plays a bad game and others want to forget when comparing him to Judd.
It has been said before that 1 year doesn't make a champion. There are so many players who have played awesome for one year but can't back it up after that. Don't get me wrong, I rate Judd - just not as much as some other people and I don't think he's worth 2 of our starting 22 with or without draft picks. _________________ My oxygen is Collingwood. Why can't everyone just drop the "we need a ruckman" thing. Josh Fraser has been doing really well in the ruck as of late and will only get better. Plus we have Cameron Cloke who has been doing well in the 2's, also we have Mckee, Guy Richards and Walker so our ruck stocks are fine. We have a good list, the players just need to perform on a consistent basis. People forget we are still one of the youngest sides out there. |

Well on 3AW they thought Hay for Judd in a straight swap was a fair deal....lol So if they think thats fair i think we have been way too generous in the deal mentioned on here.
I wouldnt think 2 players and 2 draft picks would be a good deal.
What did North Melbourne get for Peter Bell ??
I would think our first round draft pick and Scotland would be a suitable trade.
Personally in relation to Didak i would keep him.

I'd rather Wirrpunda, as we need a quality small backman who can take overhead marks and is tough..... |

I preface this by saying I agree with Magpie Greg.
Judd is superstar in the making
Superstars don't grow on trees.
He is the best uncontracted junior in the competition.
As yet he has not committed to anything and unfortunately we all have to wait until the season is over.
His manager, family and Chris himself have kept everything close to their chests and won't be saying anything until the west coast finish their campain.
Melbourne clubs are all circling around ready to pounce.
Rumours of hawthorn trading Hay for him and now the kangaroos daniel wells is being mentioned as a trade for Judd.
I can say that they are all rumours.
All we know for sure is that Judd has always wanted to come back to Melbourne from day one.
But things can change rather quickly, just ask Wirripunda
The West Coast arent stupid and they know they need to give him his space
they will offer him the world to stay
The question now is " What does Judd want to do"
I guess we will have to wait |

For me I think it will be a First round Draft pick and a player.... |
Whatever it takes ... We've gotta have this man ... Chris Judd is not only the future of football ... Chris Judd IS football.
I reckon we should offer the West Coast any player they want, plus all our draft picks. And if that's not enough, throw in our colours and magpie logo as well. We can wear blue and gold, which would fit in nicely with our traditional VFL partner, Williamstown.
I can just see it see it now.
Grand Final 2004 ... The West Coast Magpies are 5 points up with seconds remaining ... then the almighty Chris Judd, greatest footballer in the known universe, appears out of nowhere to score the winning goal for the mighty Collingweagles. |

I will rate him like I rate every one player that plays the game, he could be a good pick up in the long run. He's good now, but can he be good every week for the rest of his career? Surly that could be impossible, there is going to be many bad games in the rest of his career. One season of good games doesn't make you a superstar, you need to put in for longer. Sure we don't need Judd, but he would be a good player for Collingwood to have in their side. _________________ Ðavâgé
