orie, i doubt terry daniher keeps an eye on what's happening in the midfield. nor would he really care to know how much time scotland was on the ground. he's in charge of the forward line - he would've had his own concerns about that given their insipid display yesterday.
i think anthony is having one of those serious form slumps he has every 2 or 3 years. he's a decent player though & he'll be back. |

Although i have faith in Mick's coaching, I've been thinking that we really do miss laidley more than we thought we wld. From all accounts he was great with the youg guys, and his strategies seem to be working a treat over at Nth atm.
But, we all know MM is a great coach, and i'm sure TD has sthing to offer us too - hopefully they can get us bk on track again. |

I dont think we can blame Malthouse for Yesterdays efforts. It was like moving deck chairs on the titanic. Didnt matter where the players were played we were sinking fast. Although it would help if Cloke was left in the backline and Didak isnt played at Full back for some of the game.
No doubt Rocca will come back to form lets just hope its before our season is in tatters and finals are just a mathematical equation.
Also somebody buy Scotland some tweezers to remove the splinters he must have from sitting on the bench.

I would rather see a coach that can control his emotions. What MM says at the after-match is probably nothing like he might be behind closed doors. There is no doubt he has the respect of the players.
Some of MM's comments after the game.
“Today was probably our poorest game for the year. We’ve played a couple of bad ones. This one’s up there with it"
“Nathan was getting beaten and under those circumstances, when you’ve got other midfielders who can play there, you play them there”
"We’ll all be very disappointed, but it’s not going to change what we do.."
He also went on to praise the efforts of the hawks. He is a VERY experienced coach and knows what NOT to say.
If you kick someone when they're down, more often than not they stay down. _________________ Go Pies! |

i reckon MM should go back to coaching the way he did at WC cause that style has made him successful and he shouldnt no more take mediocer performances from no one at the Collingwood football club. |

And he can start by cutting out this .......It's the worst game we've played all year or it's the worst game we've played in my time at the club....or I will not be associated with a team that won't improve.
If that's the case we better start looking for a new coach for next year because we've gone backwards in 2003.
It's ok to make these comments but i want to see him back them up with action...and he can start by dropping big name players who aren't performing to the magoos...the name Rocca springs to mind. |

I don't think he is too soft, but i do think we need to give a few blokes a run in the twos and he should be telling them that. _________________ Jazza |
