I think it's just male nature to want to analyse and fix things and a lot of women perceive that as 'bagging'.
Like sometimes after a game I want to share my views as to who did what, whether it's good or bad. I would rather an open discussion about the state of play than a board where u're only allowed to post positive things.
Positive stuff is good, but it's not the whole picture. |

If your not happy with a players performance tell him and if that is bagging him so be it. It's a pressure release for yourself. This crap if you bag them your not a true supporter is head in the sand stuff.
The players don't mind you clapping them off when they play well, they have to expect some kind of reaction from you if they play poorly. Unless of course you accept losing like StKilda supporters. |

I think it's male nature to find a solution for a problem. I think some men and women read posts and rightfully see them as bagging.
Glad some of you got my attempt at humour at the start of the thread and have started bagging brodie and kinnear.

most of the time i watch the Footy with alot of friends which don't really know, (my brother invites alot around) but i never question about their Loyality to Collingwood just because they bag a player, i just reckon they speak before they think, and i excuse them for it. I reckon it's fine to have a go at a few players, it's only natural for a supporter of any sport in the world, it's nature. But we have to watch our mouths cause some supporters might not like your comments  |

Ok let me put it this way, Iam a Chef, if you come into my Resturant ordered a meal and it wasnt up to scratch you have the right to Complian about it!
The same goes for the Club, as Members we are customers of the Collingwood Football Club and when something isnt up to scratch such as a player we should at least have the right to be Critical.

Gee that Ben Johnson is bloody ordinary isnt he. Waste of time and should retire right now and save us the hassle.

when does Critical become bagging? when does bagging becomes abuse?
I don't like people bagging players, its as simple as that. I allways thought that what the other clubs are there for, I am constantly told by people on here that my heads in the sand etc.
I am critical of players, I do notice errors, lack of effort etc. but the difference is I dont do it in public, I don't come on here and slag players, to me that has allways been the ugly side of Collingwood supporters and I won't stand by and watch people slag something I love without having a say, thats me, the way I am.
there's a fair amount of ego with some of the things that get said about players on here, by alot of people who's only qualification is the abillity to type and just like a movie critic who has never made a movie, we are expected to just sit back and nod and say "you're right".
You can bag em if your like that, BUT when not every one agrees, or not every one sits back and lets you get away with it, don't start whinging about it.

1. Players come and go, are remembered and forgotten, stay with a club for their whole careers or go to three or four clubs, but the fans are the ones that have to live constantly with the image, standing etc. of the club.
