Post subject: Maybe bagging is the answer! | |
|
I've been one right throughout who was against bagging players, but after looking at some performances I may have to change my line of thought
We all know from previous years how rocca and taz were the "scapegoats" for many. Rocca last year set the world on fire, this year taz is unbelievable. From the beginning of this year there has been debate over my favourite son JOSH. I have to say I haven't seen much bagging for weeks so according to most (not all) he must be getting his act together.
So maybe, just maybe the baggers have method to (what I thought was) their madness....hehehehe. Who do we want to turn into a star next. I'll bag him for a few weeks and just wait.
Seriously though, it shows you the character of our boys to respond when they know they are not playing to their potential. Go PIES! _________________ My oxygen is Collingwood. Without it I die.

Nothing wrong with bagging players after inept performances. They are paid professionals playing a passionate sport as far as fans go. If they take notice and lift they feel your anger, but they also play to win as well.
I will bag them and praise them due to how I perceive their performance on the field.
Leonin5=star I do agree some do not praise players after they play well, that normally stems from their non liking of certain players. It took me at least 6 rounds last year to praise McKee and like him. Some on this board hate Woey. Everyone’s different. One thing we all do is cheer when we win and get pissed off when we lose; so two out of three isn’t bad. |

As supporters it is not worth us bagging the players as it does not make the situation better or worse unless they hear it from us.The constructive criticism must come from within the inner sanctum. When it comes from here it can be beneficial to the players in order to assist them in improving. We must be positive towards them and not negative. Also remembering that eveyone is entitled to play some bad games occassionaly.Though we are passionate we must be reasonable, especially to our own.

Yes there is a limit to bagging a player, in fact i wouldnt even say that bagging is the word.
Being critical is more it, as supporters we have to be critical otherwise the team we support will do just as badly as the way Melbourne are doing at the moment.
I know we have to support our players and praise them but they have to know when they are not putting in 100%.
Players have to know where they are going wrong and sometimes the fans know just as well as the coaching staff, so criticism is sometimes the answer.
But never and i mean never should we ever Boo our players! (although i think we all thought about it on Anzac day) _________________ I love Danny Allsopp, Danny Allsopp loves me! |

they get paid, theyre professionals, they should be able to handle bagging, bcos if they cant they should retire right now!
josh fraser hasnt been getting bagged bcos hes pulled his finger out, and so has leon. its amazing.
tho if buckers comes back in this week i would be thinking that cole will be having a spell in the twos. he tackles fiercely and is quite good at it, but the amount of times he tries to outrun the opposition and gets run down is just plain f**king painful to watch. |

lol nice topic Blanch m8.
this "they're professionals, they should be able to handle bagging" is got to be the bigest load of crap, where does every one work so we can come in and "bag" you while your working, and if you seriously think that the boys come on here to read some of the crap writen about them and go out and play better for it, I think your kidding yourself into thinking that your "opinion" is worth more than it really is. no good can come from bagging and all it does is make those that "bag" look like bitter twisted inderviduals.
More "supporters" and less "football Criticts" I'd be much happier. _________________ Pain heals, Chicks dig scars, Glory..... lasts forever! |

hehe, yeah i agree CQ he's been at Collingwood for quite a long period of time, but just doesn't perform when he does get picked in the seniors, i'd be surprised if he isn't passed on at the end of the season..............unless of course we bag him and he comes good, but i think that's unlikely _________________ Poor men wanna be rich
