Get to the G early on Monday folks as there will actually be a curtain raiser for a change.

I'm pretty excited about it is coz my home BENDIGO v Geelong in an interleague semi final.

One good reason for all of you people to get there early and cheer Bendigo on is that our coach is Mick McGuane.

Go Bendigo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought Mick McGuane was still coaching the Burnie Dockers down here in Tassie. Show's how much attention I pay to the NTFL Very Happy

Hey Fradam,

thanks for that, i was going to turn up 1/2 hr before game. Guess I'll be there way before now. Mick was my fav player (had his number on my jumper) before he up and went to those scumbags (won't mention their name). Needless to say I was devastated.

I know, he was out with injury so much to his groin and I think he only got about 3 games with other mob. Can't go past THAT goal in 94? or was it 95 (memory shite) at the G against other mob. I was up in the Ponny, just at the back, running off the back line, 7 bounces, a bawk in there somewhere, run on GOAL. bloody beautiful stuff that.

Yeah, his last 1 or 2 seasons of AFL football were plagued with injury, and going to C..... made him look really bad. He played badly for awhile, most of the time he was there.

I probably would have coped more if it was another club, but not them. It was almost like a dog traitor act. In the past now though, i hear he's going well with Bendigo, so hopefully they'll get up on Monday as will the Pies.

seriously people, don't worry too much about gettin to the G early. curtain raisers just don't compare to the Cricketers experience.

i say get to the CRICKETERS early. sink a few drinks & wash the pre-game nerves away.

for all those new to Nick's, the Cricketers Arms' pub is on Punt Road, just near richmond station. magpie fans from this & other boards have been meeting there pre & post-match for 2 years now. it's sweeeeet.

if ya haven't been before, come along, get your ass out the back into the beer garden & introduce yourself!

hmmm this cricketers is some serious competition.

I say to go to the curtain raiser, the way the league is run these days it may be the last one you ever see.

Go Bendigo Go Go Go
