Nice to see some fans showing the appropriate generosity of spirit towards the opposition, although I guess too many replies to this topic would get a bit repetitive. But I'm sure all of us wish Jason McCartney (a former Pie no less!) all the best in his comeback. Even if he only manages one more senior game for the Roos he has MORE than succeeded in my book. A great effort.

Great topic to post.

Was wondering whether to do it myself.

I cried during the days of the Bali bombing-I was that sad for those 88 Australians, and the survivors-I really couldn't explain it.

Learning that Jason was realistically a chance to make it back stirred my spirit.

He embodies what an Australian is all about. A Fine example and I will try and get there and watch him.

I love this country so much-especially when I think about anything to do with that disaster. The emotions are all over the place.

Jason McCartney is an uplifting reminder of what I will teach my kids-when I have them-to try and be.

You have hurdled over many objects and to see you play footy again is a credit to yourself.

Your first priority was to get better.
Yours second priority was to get married and your third is to play footy again.

I think you should have been able to wear a jumper with number 88 on it.

I hope you play well and I know the girls that you saved will be so proud of you. Well done

His return embodies the fibre of aussie spirit and can't be applauded enough. A true champion as a person in every sense of the word.
