Post subject: I'll Tell You Who The Disgrace Is... | |
|
That individual in the Collingwood jumper, I've seen you many times at the footy-personally too, who was about to start a punch up with port fans.
Captured on television, for all the nation to see. Not being able to cope with simple taunts from the Port wankers.
What a great advertisment for Collingwood you were and for every supporter.
I'm not naming you-we all saw it. I put my head down when I was among people watching the game in the hotel because I was bloody well embarrassed.
Take your hat off, and your jumper, give it a wash, and suspend yourself from a few matches to have a think about it.
If the shoe was on the other foot we know exactly what the scenario would have been...
Did you apologise to Joffa? Damn that-apologise to everyone.
Pathetic and not needed. _________________ It was love at first sight. |

I also saw that wonderful peice of footage after the match and i was absolutely disgraced and embarassed.
There was no need for that kind of behaviour, under any type of circumstance. Port won, get over it, dont be a sore loser and fight over it. People need to learn to take crap from other teams. |

They showed a Pies supporter and not the Port supporter who was the other antagoniser.
Two sides to a story, footy is a passionate game. |

Well in a situation like that, especially when we have lost, walking away and ignoring the antagoniser is the best thing to do.

Who the bloody hell are you to pass judgement on a fellow Collingwood supporter moron?
Yes the bloke did the wrong thing and there are no excuses really for starting trouble at the footy......but were you there?...no....did you hear what the dickhead Port supporters were taunting him with?...no....at least give him credit for making the trip over to support the pies.
You have to remember he was in the middle of all these low lives taunting him and it's only a natural instinct to fight back especially when you're hurting for your pies.
It was also unfortunate that the camera was focussed on him at the time.
When i saw it i wasn't embarrased because is something that happens at the footy every week regardless of who you follow.......i was just dirty on the fact that i wasn't there backing him up against these idiots.
Remember footy is a passionate game and emotions will run high at times...we have to learn how to avoid trouble at the footy but sometimes we are faced with no altenatives but to deal with it as we see fit...and if it means sticking up for yourself and the Pies so be it. |

Bloody oath! It may be stupid, but brave when you're outnumbered in the crowd like 8 to 1.
We don't know what was being said. May have been personal. If there were numerous expletives from Port, then that's really good sportmanship when you've just won. With emotions running high and adrenalin... Get over it people, you're getting sucked in by an isolated incident caught on camera up close. I've seen worse at a Brownie's Bake Sale. |

Well from my point of view they played much better than us and as soon as the siren went i shook the hands of 2 port fans behind me.i mean thats whats its all about .it was a good tough contest but port was better on the night, you accept that and move on to the next game
from my point of view where i was sitting near the collingwood dugout and the port fans were relatively well behaved.there wasnt any unsavoury incidents but mind you the security was very tight, and speaking of that a specail hello to the moron of a security guard who was supposed to follow mickmalthouse back to the coaches box before the game yet allaowed mick to walk 10 meters before he finally realised hey im supposed to be escorting him back to the box. i mean what if some moron whos had a few decided to take a swing at mick? |

What unadulterated rubbish.
First thing I find ironic is a spanner like banksy screaming out 'moron' and then removing all doubt about his own faculties with the drivel I just read from those insipid fingers of his.
Your mindset is the exact type of culture that 99% of Collingwood supporters shirk from. What a wonderful mentality you have when you state there is no excuse for it then bumble along about whether I was there or indeed was I priviledged to the conversation.
Well is there an excuse or not dopey?
Why does he need credit for being there? Damn all Pies supporters deserve every credit for being there. But, Tweedledee, congratulations on turning up to the game is not the topic of the post.
He was in the middle of all of those 'low lives' taunting him was he? You explain then banksy where you draw the line between a low life taunting and a low life responding. No one can tell the difference at the end of the day.
Now I get a voice going in no uncertain terms on game day, and can puish some boundaries about what I say-but passion and ugliness are two seperate things.
And Daicos Magic, 'it may be stupid but brave'? What is so brave about it? I tell you what would have been brave-to stick your bloody chest out, kiss your jumper, and scream see you next time and then turn the other cheek.
Let's see, we have an 18 yo girl (Chantal) who finds that sort of behaviour appalling, and conducive to her thoughts are undoubtedly thousands of other people.
We have 40, 000 members. All eyes are on this Club to see what all the talk is about, why we are so mighty, and indeed why others should join.
You see crap like that, and blokes like you 'backing him up' and condoning that garbage, and we will lose 20,000 members in no time-and you can then piss off and support a European soccer side and get your just desserts. _________________ It was love at first sight. |

Special Delivery - get off your high horse.
I had a disclaimer to my 'brave' claim - I said he's stupid.
Yeah, it is stupid, and by saying brave I'm just adding fuel to the fire, but South Aussie Adelaide/Port supporters are the lowest of the low. We may come a close second in the eyes of most, but they are the pits. The guy may be an idiot, I don't know, but there have been times when I've felt like doing the same. Do you really think anything was going to happen?
I knew by saying brave I was going to get a reaction from the 'moral' folk like you. You guys are just too easy. Like taking candy from a baby.
I never fight at the footy, and I don't condone it, and I don't have to explain this to you. But I would have loved to see him smack one of those pricks!
How do you like that? |

Special Delivery.......what the hell did you expect?........everyone to agree with your comments?
Like i said violence at the footy is not acceptable...but unless you're faced with the same situation as our fellow pie supporter was last night you just can't go and rubbish him for it...there are reasons why he reacted the way he did.
And as for telling me to go and support European soccer instead........try and make me.
Special Delivery you strike me as the sort of bloke that would do the runner on his mates when faced with trouble.
And as for Lorelei..yes it looked crappy on TV but it was lame compared to what you see on TV these days.
So before you go pointing the finger at anyone Special Delivery try and take into consideration peoples emotions and the enviroment they're in at the time.
And to finish off.....just remember footy is an emotional game we all get caught in it and will do silly things and later regret but we're all humans and therfore have different tolerances in dealing with idiots at the footy...some walk away from it ..others react.
Depending on the scenario i react..(never in front of kids of course which then i choose to walk)....but you can see what i mean. |

I'm not on my high horse.
I left my ex-girlfriend a long time ago.
Taking candy from a baby? How so? Morally high? Perhaps on this one.
But it isn't hard to take higher ground in this argument mate-I merely need to step above the height of an ant to achieve the moral high ground here. That's how low it looked.
