No thanks. I work on Friday night and the only chance I'll get to see any of the match is if it's a delayed telecast! _________________ "There's an old saying in Tennessee, I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee, that says, fool me once, shame on... shame on you. Dark Lord, if the game's only on 30 minute delay, that means based on your response you'll only get to see the last quarter on delay. If this isn't the case, wouldn't you rather see the second half (or last quarter) live rather than 3 quarters (or one half) on delay? |

Ok so they have to start at 8.30. Why can't they go straight into the live game and forget the first quarter. Surely that would be the obvious solution. At least we'd have something. |

FFS - get over it. friday night games are always a couple/few hours delayed in WA, NT, NSW, QLD etc. collingwood is based in victoria but there are a shitload of supporters around the country who do not see collingwood as a victorian club. if we are lucky enough to have magpie games shown up here, particularly on saturday nights, its not until about 11pm and on occasion last year, at 1am. victoria should shut the **** up - its a national comp remember. |

isnt the reason u dont get games in nsw and queensland is due to rugby ??? its so rugby ran its like in melb we get stuff all rugby which is good but dont u get games on foxtel live. When i have foxtel on there always saying games are live into those states maybe invest in foxtel.

Well Adelaide and Port get to see their team play live at EVERY away game.
Victoria is the HOME of the Magpies and i dont think its asking too much to see your team play live on either free to air or pay tv.
This is the year 2003 with three stations covering the football. Yet not one of them is capapble of showing the game live.
Channel 7 covered football by themselves yet managed to service the public of Victoria.

Live every game, JLC except for the ones played in Adelaide
Then the port and Adelaide fans are on just a 30 minute delay....week in and week out.
Gets very upsetting when they show other friday night games on Adelaide TV that do not have a SA team in them, 90 minutes delayed! _________________ Kaylene.

Yeah right get Foxtel. FFS they don't even show it on foxtel. Nine/Ten get first pick for the games. Guess what nine times out of ten they choose Collingwood games, which means Foxxtel isn't allowed to show it - NOT EVEN into OTHER states.
I have invested $50 into Fox/Foxfooty and that still doesn't give me any live COLLINGWOOD games.
In fact last season Collingwood/Richmond were the clubs which had the least amount of live exposure outside of Melbourne.
So, pies4premiers please get some info before you make sweeping statements. |

The one thing i will say is, they say its a LIVE game in the channel 9 tv ad why do they lie?????????. everyone knows that its not,the only time when it is a live game on friday night is when u are actually at the game itself.
I tend to not like listening to the radio as basically every single game i listen to on the radio, the pies lose,so i don;t want to make that mistake again.
Its a shame that they can't show the games live on tv,but thats life. _________________ Jarrod Molloy

Despite what any thinks on 9, 10 and Foxtel i see more games than i ever did than when it was on 7 how many actual games did we see live on 7 not many and the replays were great 30 minutes of each team and even then most teams wernt on replay least the way they have it now u see all replays but i guess people want more live games.

I'm confused, in the papers it says the game starts at 8.10 and the telecast at 8.30..now i would have thought the 8.10 was Adelaide time (30 minutes behind Melb) and that showing it at 8.30 melb time was in fact 10 minutes before the game. I suppose i'll have to find out with the radio and tune in at 8.10 on there and find out if it's on then or in 1/2's time.
Confused by that? i am. _________________ Jacqui © Proud Pies 2003 and beyond |
