Have written extensively about this on R101.
But in a nutshell, as far as an alternate strip goes, just use the former jumper - the one with the black number on a white base, the stripes inverted - and white shorts. |

We are black and white stripes, and should always remain so. Any change, even for an away game, is an insult to our tradition . Any way whose colours do we clash with ? Only North Melbourne, let them change, they have no tradition anyway. _________________ Floreat Pica |

People forget that we already basically have an alternative jumper, which I tihnk sux - mainly because of the stupid modernistic eagle-like magpie at the front.
If there's going to be an alternative strip it should still be traditional, none of the daggy modern design like on the current away jumper.
The answer is simple, just look at grim's or pies4 preimier's avatars....
the alt away jumper can be simply the traditional magpie coat of arms on front and back, with either all black or all white background depending on who you are playing. Then I think everyone would be happy and Port can get some compensation once a year for having to give up their colours for their AFL team. |

What morons the AFL are. What idiot allowed Geelong to wear a "clash" strip against us that was primarily dark, and with SOLID DARK SOCKS!!!!!
It clashes much MORE with us. IDIOTS! |

Eddie was wrong - we have worn a jumper other than the black & white stripes only in a premiership season game - the preseason jumper was worn at Subi in Rd 17 last year. I wonder if it was deliberate or did the property man bring the wrong bag!

Anyone who wants us in blue/green/red/orange can get stuffed, but lets get a alternative: mainly white but with thinner black stripes. |
We wear that jumper quite often..but it IS BLACK AND WHITE STRIPES!!!!!!!!!
That's what most of us are saying here. We must have black and white stripes. _________________ Kaylene.

I think we should add a dash of green and blue to our colours for "clash " games |
