I am not putting **** on you. I asked a valid question...you seem to have taken it the wrong way, and got very touchy about it.

Overdue Congrats on finishing your thesis on football... that was the last time we spoke. You read an essay I wrote for Uni.
Thought you were a Pie all your life. Or was it when Port came in under another identity that you moved all your allegiances to Collingwood? |

The Magpie has to stay black, and perhaps black trim around the collar, arms. (however, I realise it was just a negative of an image).
Withe the whole "let's change to white with black, Port's jumper is predominantly white on the back with black numbers. From behind we would still clash (no sexual puns, please). |

I can't see why we even need to discuss this.
But if other clubs dont like their strips fine. If other clubs can't see for looking and need a homing beacon to see their players fine. They can change their strip.
But as a diehard, I for one don't want and can't immagine Collingwood playing in ..... F%*@king YELLOW or whatever other colour ... <shudder>
Collingwood wouldn't be Collingwood in anything else but BLACK AND WHITE and lets keep it that way !!!
END OF DISCUSSION PLEASE !!!! |

Well i just watched the port vs collingwood final on foxtel, and there was absolutely no clash of jumpers at all so this arguement is just plain silly. |

If Port can't notice us now in our present colours (which have never worried them before...) then this is my proposed solution.

Jen, I think Port would look just dashing in your suggested new colours.
Our colours should never be changed. Ever.
Go Pies! You are doing us Proud.

I don't know what all the fuss was about. We should just get a mainly white jumper with black stripes. Eddie was wrong - we have worn a jumper other than the black & white stripes only in a premiership season game - the preseason jumper was worn at Subi in Rd 17 last year. I wonder if it was deliberate or did the property man bring the wrong bag!

Anyone who wants us in blue/green/red/orange can get stuffed, but lets get a alternative: mainly white but with thinner black stripes. |

The class guernsey's some (other clubs) produced this year actually increased the clash. no thankyou, i'm happy with the black and white tradition. |
