The Vics better get a move on i think.
I know we only halfway this year but that is looking a bit scary. Still think we'll finish top 3-4 like last year |

Well last year, at this time, I recall the ladder being almost the same, but with Adelaide and Collingwood in the top four. Now that Sydney got beat I think the ladder will change even more before the finals start. I hope to see Collingwood 3rd or 4th. 2nd or 1st aren't an option now I don't think, unless West Coast and Brisbane start losing, which I doubt. _________________ Ðavâgé

Yeah there's just so much "congestion" from 3-9, anyone can get up there. Last year we were 2-3 most of the year and the top 4 was set from around Round 17 when we went on a losing streak. |

Adelaide were behind all day but went up a notch or two and slammed on 7.3 to 1 goal in the last.
The same contenders are in the picture as last season: Brisbane, PA, Adelaide and Collingwood for the top 4.
They have been joined in that battle by the WCE and Freo. I think Richmond and Sydney will drop off. _________________ Donny.

Yeah i don't think Freo and Sydney will be a threat come around late-July/August. They'll choke. Brisbane will be in first, 2-4 will be in no ordr Collingwood, Port, WCE, then Adelaide, then roos and sydney and essendon will just make up the numbers. |

22 weeks is the season and we are not halfway yet. Things start changing during the hard slog of winter. That's if we get one, weather has been great in SUNNY Melbourne. The "mid season slump" is always on the cards for most teams. |

Interesting comment, that last sentence: if most teams are having a mid-season slump, then who is winning these games? _________________ Broadie |

...and won't it be funny if Freo or WC starts loosing and the media jumps off their bandwagon. Freo won't last. |

Yeh you are spot on Assassin, its a bit hard living in WA at the moment with all the blinkered one eyed rubbish you have to listen to! You would be excused for thinking the Premiership is already here.
I do think Freo will hit a few hurdles yet, as they dont look at all convincing to me, and their recent opponents have been shocking to say the least
The big thing for the WA teams is the enormous home ground advantage, plus the always warm conditions here.

There is a lot of pressure when u go over to WA coz they have the home side advantage which gives WCE and Freo a lot of confidence.......
Hopefully the vic teams can go over and start killing them there, but not to be rude but if the pies have n e chance of finishing in the top 4 we better start beating hard teams...this week will be a challenge we need to win so that we can build up our percentage and give the team a lift for the rest of the season....
Brisbane will be top 4 and if Sydney dont choke then they can be up there too....tigers were good then they choked so it all depends if our team have the energy to last all 4 quarters week in week out!
After Saturdays performance it showed us that the team can work together we just need to do it against harder teams....
If we perform like we did on sat against port it shows the players and the fans that we r still in the competition!! _________________ *~Luv Always Tara~*

If Melbourne were a better team, I reckon Freo would of got done on the weekend. But seeing as Melbourne haven't won a first quarter all season it show's I shouldn't of tipped Melbourne to beat Freo LOL Although I did also tip Hawthorn to beat Geelong, so that was an even worse pick :O _________________ Ðavâgé
