I don't remember anyone bagging Williams, I rememnber everyone commenting about he was playing a little badly and needed some time in the VFL. As it stands he did well last night, not enough to say he is back to the way he can play. He still needs to work a little harder, am I bagging him? Not, it's saying that a player is out of form, If i may, I will make a comment which is considered bagging. This is only and example..
"Williams is a waste of space and a waste of a spot on the Collingwood line up"
That is what I consider bagging, please remember that is not how I feel, that is just an example of what is considered bagging a football player and club. _________________ Ðavâgé

Now that everyone has made their points, can we move on?
If this thread descends any further into the personal, I'm going to lock it off until we've all had a chance to visit the room of mirrors.
Let's not worry about who's to blame for what. Let's just remember we had a 65 point win after dropping 4 of the last 5...... |

he played OK last nite. he kicked some goals and made some clumsy looking errors.... I dunno how u came to the conclusion that he played a 'ripper'.
5 bad weeks and 1 OK performance against St Kilda, means he's still in my 'bad' books. However a positive is that he was finally taken out of the middle an played in the forward line where his biggest asset - marking could be taken advantage of.
magpie_1983.... it's also not your role to judge what should and shouldn't be said on this board.... what you think is 'negative', I'm sure some people would view as an opinion that is closer to the truth than a contrasting 'positive' opinion that you might put forward. |

magpie_1983 - I hope he does improve.... however he is keeping younger kids out of the side like McGough and Scotland, whose form in the VFL directly contrasts that of Williams in the seniors.
so in fairness to McGough and Scotland.... how long do u persist with a player who has returned little for 6 weeks in the seniors? He might come good.... but let's be fair to all and pick on form and not potential. |

I think that as many of our young players develop, Williams - unless he can also raise his own game a notch or 2 - will become a very good fringe or "depth" player - and depth is obviously very important to top sides. ie he may not be a regular senior player next year. But a very good spare parts man with mobility and marking power. |

lol good on ya magpie_1983 don't let them think they can say what they like without it comming back to bite them on the ass.
Stick it up them, and if they can't handle being critisised for thier "opinion" thats their lookout. way too many self appointed, "my opinion is the only wright opinion" experts on here as it is, they all know better than malthouse. _________________ Pain heals, Chicks dig scars, Glory..... lasts forever! |
