Having leon in the forward line will help didak. All year Didak has been pretty much tagged, eagles don't really have the backline to cover both didak and leon if they are both firing. Leon is probably our least consistent player, Scotland is a good player, but he is not really needed this week. Scotland still might not be 100% and leon's problems were personal not physical, and now he has had that problem resolved so he'll probably come out and kick 3/4 goals. |

They need another small forward to exploit the weagles backline, that's why Scoots got the boot. It's horses for courses. Scottland will be back in.
It's going to be a shootout this game unless it rains. |

on form he doesnt deserve his spot back just yet but its surely all about match ups. with phil read out of their side and wirrpunda returning, having both didak and leon up forward could have them a small backman short, particularly if MM throws holland up forward every now and then. i still cannot understand why MM insists on burnsy starting on the bench. let him have the first 15 minutes and rest him for the rest of the quarter if need be but we need his hardness early. |

it is very unfortunate that Scotland got left out of the side as I thkn he really is a gun, the more time he gets the better....but we have to look at MM game plan last year to see what he is doing....remember he left Stieny out for the whole season ad brought him back for the finals....well i think he has someting up his sleeve as far as these guys like scotland, rupe, cloke etc.....and beside even while he was at west cosast no one really ever understood his reasoning behind any of his moves but they seemed to work anyway...so keep the faith.....
My only concern is that Scotland was on the verge of going to North from what I remember and he might just go the next step during the trade period at the end of the year.....

What was cole instrumental in, granted he touched the ball, but in all honesty he and Scotland were troubled. The difference was that Cole recieved over 5 minutes more gametime than Heath (thankyou gamestats). Yet by what i read, Cole gained only 2 possessions more - plz correct me if i am wrong.

Go and watch the Adelaide game again. Cole was influential in setting up two goals when he came on. |

Do the sums...roughly 30 mins per qtr. 2 possessions in 5 minutes equals 12 possessions in a 30 min qtr. 48 possessions in a game IF you equate the time V possessions. 2 possessions in 5 minutes is a LOT! _________________ My oxygen is Collingwood. Without it I die.

Goddam Blanch - that was a conversation stopper! You're using logic again , naughty.
Culprit has hit the nail - horses for courses. Scoots real unlucky. MM has shown faith in him before so he will be back at some time, depending on match ups. MM is obviously pleased with current midfield rotation and Leon will demand genuine defender, stretching their fragile backline
(no Jaco ) even further
There is a plan here folks |

This is a proffessional set up. The match committee is paid to pick the best possible team for every given situation. Everyone should know their roles from the players to the coaches and selection committees. Lets have some faith in their selection.
After all an opinion is like an arsehole everyone has one. I would hate to see our team picked because of opinions.

I second the motion. I'll be the first to admit I was worried about leaving clokey, rupe etc out last week. This is why I remind myself of my job - IT Coordinator. MM's job is to use his cattle in the best manner. He reminded me again last week as to why I should trust his judgement.
Hopefully Chalky this post won't have too much logic...i do my best mate _________________ My oxygen is Collingwood. Without it I die.

Leon will have 3 goals by half-time and all will be forgotten. Provided that he gets off the bench that is. |
