Look at the size of the guy. For him to do what he did last night with burdens he has faced in recent weeks (multiple family deaths - I won't elaborate) was terrific. He wasn't slow enough to tap a ball over Ricciuto's head and beat him to the ball for a soccer classic! |

Too slow for what?He Plays in the hardest position on the field for one of last years Grand finalists.I think he's doing o.k.I think people forget that when Anthony was younger he was never as good as Koschitzke or a Riewoldt or even Gardinier,so he has taken a lot longer to develop |

heheh Rocca's a beast. He marks everything and kicks the ball 80+metres. I think he is the best CHF in the comp. With himself and Tarrant in the forward line... in basketball terms thats like having a Shaq and a Kobe Bryant, or a Jordan and a Pippen, very exciting |

He's the same speed as many "big" men in the AFL, and yes sometimes he can be slow. But that's not a problem for where he plays, he still plays well so his speed really doesn't hurt his game. _________________ Ðavâgé

I dont know if anyone else has seen it, but some weeks Rocca is an absolulte champion and have a complete blinder, but the next week he just goes to water. Sav was the same. I dont want to be harsh to him, because he is a great player, but he can be really hot and cold, which is a real shame because he is a top player. I think we kept the right one Rocca thou.... _________________ ASCSA - Alice Springs Collingwood Supporters association - President and sole member |

Sav is hot one week, and cold the next 3 weeks, as he showed with Collingwood, and with North last year. But I think Anthony is starting to get better and is playing more consistantly, instead of once every two weeks. _________________ Ðavâgé

Rocca has really come into his own in the last 2 years. Every player has a dog of a day or a couple on the trot. Yeah Rocca didn't have much impact in the last few weeks, but neither did the whole team.
Rocca is really a quality player, he's mobile, strong mark and that booming kick. Any big man can look slow when chasing a ball at ground level, so it's not fair to single him out. |

His speed is of no concern to me at all.... what does concern me is his decision making and poor disposal at times. His short kicking is very ordinary and it concerns me that he tries to do this when there's plenty of opposition pressure around. |

Maggies2003, you are abolutely correct! Fantastic observation you made re the speed of one of our lumbering giants. It's sooo obvious. You're right
Rocca will never win the Stawell Gift!
