Well done Mick, great coaching job last night.

Inspired:
Lokan to McLeod
Nullifying Bode (who exactly did that?)
Starting Shawy. Good on you Rhyce mate, great game.
Getting the most out of McKee
Allowing Licka to run free after McLeod was starting to towel him a little. In my opinion it was Licka that did a HELL of a lot of crucial ball carrying that got us back into this one, reminded me alot of last years semi-final pirate raid of Port.

Best image: Burnsys celebration after his last quarter goal. Pure joy.

Great job, MM and all the coaching staff !!

Adelaide would get ahead and keep hearing footsteps. They couldn't shake us. The boys self belief was back !!

I guess coaches, no matter how good they are, can have slumps too. Seems MM turned the corner last night with some good match ups.

Can we all remember this if we lose a game. Have the same faith in MM as he has in his players.
In my depths of dispair post swans, I too began to second guess him.
But never again! Some blindingly inspirational moves.

yes like a true champ he bounced back. he definitely knows how to coach against the adelaide teams, now he needs to learn how to beat the swans as they have been our bogey for a few years. after 3 ordinary games, hopefully he can start to turn it around, although there is still a long way to go.

anyways credit where credit is due - a very good performance.

Sure enough things worked well. The funny thing is though that had we lost, we would have been looking at the negatives. Why was Wakes so far behind his opponent so often? Why was Clokey dropped?, etc, etc.

Just how fickle are we? Even a 1pt loss would have seen us go away with pride intact. adelaide are a good side and will be in the reckoning this year, but we would have been bitching about the umpires and everything else had we gone down.

Anyway let's just remember that MM is one of the best coaches going around at present. Maybe he has more faith in and knowledge of the players than we do and entrusts them to carry out his instructions. Quite right Chalky. If he can turn around a slump like the last half of last year, the past 3 losses have been nothing to worry about.
