Now just how GOOD was Dutchy tonight? I must say, that was a terrific performance for someone trying to cement his spot in the side and/or on our list.

So many aspects of his game tonight have been what we've been missing over the past three weeks, which begs the question....Is he the small defender that we've been craving??

Tonight he showed how fast, skillful, gutsy and cool in a crisis he really is. Time and time again he repelled Adelaide's forward thrusts. Rebounding from 50 and giving us tremendous drive out of the back line, he also gave us some much needed bite when he was injected into our midfield.

Brodie....I take my hat off to you!

yea mate im with ya.....ben johnson i respect his effort and he really gives his all but he just doesnt have the skill. am i right people? or does his ungainly action just throw me off? anyway brodie was clean and cool under pressure and i think he is far better as a back pocket/flanker then a forward.

GO THE PIESSSS

Brodie is very talented, now that he has started to show something, he will only get better and better. And I hope he plays better each week.

Woewoding, what a game from him, I hope to see more games like this from Woewodin, now that he has gotten the old monkey off the back he can now play better:D

Brodie was brilliant tonight but it has to be said that there is no doubt he showed that form on the ball for Willie when McGough showed stuff all yet who got picked three weeks ago?

Who knows, we might have been at least competitive against Essendon had Holland played instead of McG.

Broadie in the backline.
Has he found his niche?

He oozed class tonight.

Hold up my hand was not a Holland fan, but very impressive in the backline tonight.

Backline?

Brodie had a good quarter as the loose man in defence yes, but it was his work in the engine room that really won it for us. Finally we have another quality all round mature hard bodied onballer. Was a great move by MM to give a few players new roles - O'Bree accross half forward, Brodie in the middle. Pidak all over the place.

I still say though that I thought MM had missed the match-winning move of bringing Fraser back into the ruck - especially when Biglands came on freesh from a stint on the bench. McKee has his problems but the guy is capable of breaking even despite opposition clubs double teaming him.

The thing I like most about Brodie's game is he has this unpredictability about him. Ducking and weaving, left and right, in and out of packs, his movement clears space, and gets us out into the open and down the spine. And he was in the right spot every time as a loose man. Good stuff, played unbelievably well down back, but I don't think he should only play there, because he can also play midfield and forward very well...just hasn't had the opportunities this year...yet. Awesome game!!

2 preseasons ago (against Kangaroos at Colonial) he showed that he would be more than capable in the midefield (having worked on his weight and fitness). However, limited opportunities and an 8-goal haul against WC pigeonholed him as a small forward. Anyone can play loose in defence, but I thought he really came of age in the centre square. He cleared the ball from the centre in the last quarter with Buckley so many times. If he can just learn to spear the ball a bit better than his rainbow kicks, he could really be an asset to our team.

A revelation !! He seems a different footballer. Well played, Brodes.

It's like he at last realises what a privilege it is to wear the black & white.

Well I'll admit I wasn't a Holland fan. He proved me wrong and good on him, he showed toughness and class under huge pressure. Easily his best performance for the club
