Stoka - just remind me
Why are we helping to spread south australian anti-Eddie propaganda?

1. Eddie doesn't do the fixturing, the AFL does
2. Adelaide Crows people...or this newspaper at least... still seem to be sour over not getting a home final...so it was wrong...i think it's time to move on from that IMO.
3. Collingwood plays carlton, essendon, richmond and brisbane (i think) twice. All fairly hard games you would think at present.
4. the draw is the most even it's been in years, isolating collingwood is hardly fair, or valid.
Looks like you do indeed have to put up with a lot Stoka. Can't wait for the pies to thrash those crows on saturday!

One thing I am concerned about is the fact the media are inciting the adelaide crowd.
I just hope the fans have some sense to realize this is a footbball game....we don't have to hate people who support a different team than us.

I get the chance to talk to huge numbers of different people about football in South Australia - and the fact is ONLY about 1 in 5 actually barrack for a SA team -- 4 out of 5 barrack for victorian based teams.
Even then a great many crows supporters have a soft spot for a vic team they used to follow before the AFL was formed. Very few Port supporters have a 'second' team other than many are ex-Collingwood.
So this interstate rivalry is media driven.

then why do the media keep going on about it especially kg cornes and rucci. These blokes keep whinging and saying its a national comp and the vics are in it for themselves maybe they can promote more of other teams in the comp in the papers radio and tv than the ones in there backyard.

I saw that in yesterday's Advertiser.
Didn't bother reading, the same thing was on the paper for the Qualify ing Final last year, they really hate Ed over there (here at teh moment).
As long as we win I don't care.
