Anyone seen the new "wipe off 5" ad featuring key Collingwood players and Malthouse.. doesn't look very flattering for Collingwood. A coach flattening his players in the name of "wiping off five" !!! What is this ad trying to say??An illegal tackle flattening the best players in the league.!!.do we need the sponsorship money this badly.. I hope they got paid well cause I can't see it doing our image much good. What do others think??

It's just an add guys, and it's doing it's job by getting you to talk about it...

i don't think kids will try to copy it, unless they don't understand what the actual message of the advertisement is.
It's light hearted, and i liked it though. Smile

We're talking about it now, and others are surely too, so it's having the desired result in that way IMO. Whether it actually aids in saving lives is another thing i spose.

Kids are kids, they definately WON'T understand the message behind it. I understand it, but kids won't.

I'm not saying I don't like the ad, i'm just wondering what message it sends to kids playing footy.

The TAC 'Wipe Off 5' is a speed safety campaign.

They are already one of our sponsors. I think we all know Buckley's number.

When kids ask their parents, "Mum, Dad, why did Mr Malthouse hit Nathan?", it can be explained to them.

It's meant to be an eye opener. It's meant to make people take notice.

yeah, i gotta agree MAGFAN8.

i know when i was 10 years old or whatever, i didn't take that much notice of advertisements and what they were actually promoting anyway.
i'd be more like "wow, there's mick, there's nathan buckley on tv, wow," not really even caring about what the TAC is, or what it does.
The ad is clearly aimed at those who can drive, and i don't think kids will take too much notice, and if they do, it will be explained to them. It's clearly not a football match, or advocating violence on the footy field, and therefore i can't see any probs.

I like the ad. I thought it was very funny, maybe it is just my wierd sense of humour. I thought it was a very god way to put the point across, 'Expect the Unexpected, So Wipe off 5'. Good ad if you ask me.

I like the ad. I suppose u can look at it like they say "I know this road so well etc etc" Bucks and MM know eachother so well but Bucks didn't expect that to EVER happen. If that doesn't make sense, please take into consideration my brain slows down after midnight.

Also I love the bit at the start when Bucks sneaks up behind MM and says something and runs off.

But the thing I don't get is why Bucks gets up holding his nose when you clearly see in slo-mo Mick clean him up right under the chin.

Bah Anyway.
