I dunno about others, but I thought he was quite good. Did the little things that most of the others didn't do. True, didn't take his obligatory 15 marks but his pressure inside foward 50 was very impressive. If this is the least effective he plays he's in for a very good year. Thoughts? |

He was a forward today that had 19 touches.
Half our fricken midfielders today got nowhere near 19 touches.
He did ok. Couldn't take a mark inside 50 though. |

Thought tarrant played well today however i was suprised that in those 19 touches of the ball, he couldnt get one goal out of it. |

I totally agree with you .Taz has been really good so far....the thing that i have noticed about Taz so far this season is that he shows more commitment to his footy...he's doing the 1 percenters alot more and his leading, chasing and marking has been the top notch.
The one aspect of his game that i feel he could improve on is his set shots on goal, apart from that Tazza is in for a big season. |

yeah i thought taz was pretty good, he didnt have any real set shots, like he got 3 points but they werent really shots that you really really expected him to get. i think the main problem was taz wasnt getting any direct passes...usually he leads and gets a great pass to his chest or out in front....today no one was kicking to his leads, and most passes into the forward line were way up in the air, impossible for anyone to mark.so i rekon taz did pretty well.
wot really let us down was our disposal into the forward line, it just wasnt as direct as usually. sept for bucks, he was brilliant yet again! _________________ Premiership Pies 03 |

Tazz made a few errors but still tried hard and ran hard to provide a lead - wasn't as good as the last few weeks but wasn't disgraced. Pity more of the guys didn't have the heart that Bucks showed.

Taz would have covered even more ground than the drinks waiter at my table.
Unfortunately they both kicked the same number of goals. |

I'm a huge Tarrant fan but I didn't think he was that flash. It didn't come down to him very well though. _________________ Do I look like the tech? |

I just want have an honest opinion here.
His second efforts yesterday were quite impressive. His pace is a magnificent asset and he is going harder and faster at the ball when it's in dispute than ever before.
His kicking at the moment is just woeful. The best example was the attempted pass to either two men around the 40m mark and it all but dribbled into Essendon's hands and they went the length of the field for a goal.
His kicking is a real worry and I have an impending feeling that it might cost us a close one if there isn't some subtle change.
Bring back his boots from last years Brisbane home and away match. Fast! _________________ It was love at first sight. |

Well we all know what i think about Tazza but i dont think yesterday he played brilliantly. He was one of our better players and got a lot of the ball and worked hard but he was mostly ineffective and failed to make a real impact. A good, honest effort though. Plenty played worse than him. _________________ Those with the most invested are the last to surrender!

as for the tracking data, he had around 8k's up by just after half time. coverage up here ran over time so the final distances werent shown but 13-15k's would be a logical guess. was ahead of lloyd by around a kilometre at half time. |

I thought he played very well for a foward and he gave 100%
He knew that the way the midfield was kicking inside 50 was absolutly shizenhousen (i have no idea how this word is spelt, i don't even think rex does)
So he went up the ground and got a few possesions.
Although his marking ability has dropped dramatically ever since the 'Poster Deflection' against the lions. |

Channel 9 sunday footy show put it simple as this Him and fevola are the two form forwards in the league. Chris is leading marks for the comp. Played a great start to the game on Friday and simply got beaten by a good upcoming backman! |
