Yeah that would be good to play freo or west coast Alf I said that. But if the filth all of a sudden comes out of no where with pagan and some how gets them in the grand final i belivee ha would not be good because all there fans would come out of the woodwork and start supporting them and it would be the hardest grand final ever to get tickets with the smaller MCG.
Maybe North would be alright to play but i dunno they still have a fair few fans.
Our best chance is the Western Australian teams would get a ticket against them i reckon. And I remmber there was heaps of adelaide fans at the prelim so they wouldnt mind travelling for the granny.
Port Adelaide would be very good to play cos hardly any of there fans even went to the prelim let alone they come here for the granny.
But for now I am just going to enjoy the season like i did last year and take it one game at a time and see what the future holds for thos mighty magpies!
Thanks everyone.
Will.

It seems like a good idea to give GF priority to long standing members but in practice, I don't think the clubs computer systems are sophisticated enough to pick out who has been around longer.
Its not like you keep the same membership number every year. I've had several over the years. I find that the club send me multiple membership renewals/raffle tickets every year and can't distinguish that I am the same person.
Maybe a system needs to be set up, but in the past it hasn't so it wouldn't work at this time and it would need to be operating for a number of years before having an impact. It would be a logistical nightmare.
And it would cost lots of $$$$$$$$$
I go with the idea that there should be a pre-determined cut off date for existing social club members as is with reserved seats. Then they should allow new members to apply with an "until stocks last" condition for guaranteed tickets.
We probably shouldn't be talking about GF's prematurely anyway

I think the clubs computer system would be sophisticated enough to keep track of when you first joined. After all the club has a page in the club magazine where it lists 25 year and 50 year members i think.

Guys.
Everybody needs to stop and smell the roses.
We all know that the M.C.G is being rebuilt, this ofcourse will result in reduced seating capicity for the next couple of years or so, but the end result as I believe it to be is that the M.C.G trust will be giving COLLINGWOOD there own area once all renovations are complete.
This I am told is the reason we did not do an Essendon and prostitute our club for the glamour of playing at colonial, docklands, telstra or that ground with the roof on it.
So please every one let us just stop dumping on the club they did not decide to renovate just as the PIES are back where we belong, perhaps M.C.C members or A.F.L members who do not support the teams that make the grand final could give their places to those that do. (as if)
COLINGWOOD RULES no one else matters!!!!!
