The music video when his part is on and they show his photo and a guitar standing up is heart string pulling genius.

Down to 85kg and 20% body fat. Sure that puts me firmly into average Joe territory, but it's down from 92kg a couple of months ago.

79kg is the goal, and I'd like to be able to see my abs for the first time since I was in my early 20s, so onward and upward (or is that downward)?

Geez, I haven't been 85kg in decades. When I was in my early 20's my goal was to put on enough weight to get to 85kg. I overachieved. Embarassed

Anyway, heading bush tomorrow to collect two water wheels and an antique post box from mums garden, just the son and me. Very Happy

I'm stuffed but mission accomplished.

Left the mail box behind, it's too rusted. If pulling it out didn't break it the trailer ride home would have.

Collected the son and drove to NSW yesterday. Got the wheels out of the ground and separated from the posts. Each steel post has something like a 30kg lump of concrete on the bottom so that was fun.

Got em all loaded in the trailer yesterday arvo, coupla beers, then showered and we took mum out to dinner for her birthday.

Got up this morning, loaded the old motorcycle on the back of the trailer, strapped everything down hard (think I've bent the wheels a bit but I can bang that out, I was shit frightened of the backwash from a truck sending one flying through the windscreen of a car behind me so I made sure they were tied down frigging hard) and off we went.

had to use a jack to get the trailer off the towball, but the Ł$%$ers are home now and can stay in the freaking trailer til next weekend

Last fortnight I worked:

4 shifts 1 day off then 5 shifts in a row (shift work hours)

However people were sick & no replacement staff - in that work period I worked:

a night shift on my one day off & two night shifts in total:
9.30 pm to 7.30 am rode my bike home, went to bed got up at 4,
at work from 5.30 pm to 10 pm with the police then 10 pm to 7.30 am. Had a car this time, drove to the pool did my 20 laps, went to bed, got up went to work at 5.30 pm to 10 pm with the police then 10 pm to 7.30 am.
Back at the ED at 5.30 pm till 10 pm then 3 more 8 hour shifts.

Now day 3 of 4 days off.

I'll be a good man to marry on payday this Tuesday having also worked on Invasion day Wink

Shit I forgot I work for the public service: we're all lazy & don't work hard

3.6kg? What'd you do, chop off a foot? There's nothing of you to start with, that's near 10% of your bodyweight when you aren't wearing 20kg of ski clothes to stay warm. Confused Wink

Love it. I didn't have to do it, that's true

But I can't handle when they leave a shift unfilled especially night shift. It's unprofessional & means that the morning person can be "futterly ucked" as can the rest of the day. Can't get enough experienced casual staff & they let too many on leave as it is.

This is stuff I used to do years ago when we were short staffed as well - however in the last few years the number of ED presentations has grown exponentially. The problem was that I got used to the overtime pay. Now I rarely do overtime. - It'll go back to make up the moulah spent on my daughters car. A few months of hard work & I'll be back to square one - just in time to assist number 2 (she's decided to start driving lessons with Mrs WPT now). No new car for first car first for her.

Oh gawd back to the 120 hour scotch! Good luck with it!
That's a lot of overtime for a stressful job. Do they check your ok after all that?

I hear you, my son is a sinkhole to my bank balance.

My daughter, in my sons words, is the family <snip>. She's more than self sufficient, she will not accept any money except as a loan which she has paid back every time.

Whenever my son gets shitty and blames his mum for his situation (which is actually quite justified) I just say to him, "your sister has the same mother" which is a conversation stopper.
